I'll be in for the shoot and would buy one if we can grab one for $20-25 like other years :) Dibs on May if no one else dibbed lol

I run and manage FASTdigital, the design and print shop in Mitchell, if you can deal with getting the calendar Mid Jan, I'm happy to make them. I'd rather only deal with having to get them to people locally who can collect them from me, but if there is enough call, I can have them posted out too. Should be able to do them similar quality to last years one for much the same price. I just have to work out a way to put the damn hanging holes in them...

Email me at [email protected] and I can assist. I'm also happy to help take some shots on my SLR, but still havent bought an external flash, but do have the camera and a tripod if the workshop is lit well enough.

We might be able to do that at my work :)

The photos don't all have to be taken on the same day either... I mean if Eiji (or whoever) had time and a couple of owners had time he could just take those 2 out and get them done.

Each month would ideally be a different location so it could be a bit time consuming and tedious for us all to follow the others around all day to 12 different photo shoots.

Dibs on June!

:D

I will be free from Monday through to new years.

Also get to unwrap the gopro this weekend so I might take some test photos and see what quality is like.

We can do joined months if there are to many cars I am not worried.

Ohhhh and if there aren't any complaints from any other Cancerians (SINISTA), I'm slappin' dibs on JULY !!! LOL

I was looking for the ArmWrestling Emoticon. :D

Richard, you can have any month you like or, OR You can have the Front Page!!!

After all Sinista is, (at least in my mind) the Awesomest of all!!! LOL

So if your birthday is before mine in july you can have it and visa versa - ok ?

or if you were born before me ?

better go check my profile dude :D

No mate - it' first in first served.

I'll be happy just to buy a calendar full of ACT Skylines.

Mine is on the 0.00018 th.

Yeah I knew you were before me.

Does it help if I'm 73 years old?

I personally am just excited about the ACT Skyline thing too.

That and having my barnacle encrusted boat in a calendar.

Gonna have to pay my membership so I can have a SAU sticker on it for pics.

I guess we could double up here and there, depends on final numbers? Shouldn't have to make it only 1 car per month. 12 aint many.

I also was kinda thinking if we could have thumbnails of all the cars across the top of all pages and change which of them is then blownup below.

Will SirSmokey32 be entertaining the idea of having a 32GTR and a 34GTT in there? Praps 2 spots?

Is Troy's Orange van gonna be in too?

so we're shotgunning dates, have a 5 day window to do the shoot... but who will be taking the photos?

Eiji offered (see previous posts). Would be good to have someone like him who's a bit of a pro if we're going to go to the effort to do this.

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
