Is everybody else able to read stories in the autosport website? I am no longer able to read articles. It looks like they have gone full pay access

Also, all wait/pray for now is for Senna to get the ass. To think he almost tricked me with the few races he had at Lotus last year. Upon reflection you can understand why Heidfeld was so pissed off for losing his seat to the worlds nicest but slowest F1 driver

Whats everyones thoughts on D-Ric keeping his drive?

I personally think he has showed some pretty good promise. Definitely has qualfying pace and it he gets abit more agressive at the start or races, could get some good results IMO.

I think he definitely deserves another season. I don't see any reason TR would change either driver, to be honest.

Yeh, Dan has at least pulled a crazy P6 quali from the car. Would have had points in Monza but a failure, 8th on the weekend but a failure. There has been enough glimmer there as well as absence of stupid things to keep him in the hunt. I think Vergne shoudl be retained but his age and less experience has shown with his wacky driven in Valencia, i read a driving error at Monza put him out at the first corner lose....and he hasnt really shown a ot of quali pace...but is a strong racer amd both seem to have great attitudes and work well together

Caterham are coming out saying they will have some major news in the next few days. Hopefully they are poaching good staff off Force India for next year

Felipe Massa has had a kerb at the Buddh International Circuit named after him, but for all the wrong reasons.

The inaugural Indian GP last year was Massa's 150th grand prix start, but the Ferrari driver will remember the race for making a couple of wrong moves.

The Brazilian hit the high kerb on the inside of Turn 8, breaking his right-front suspension and sending him into the barriers during qualifying and he was again at it on the Sunday as too much kissing of the other side of the kerb caused damage to his left-front suspension and forced him to retire.

Massa immediately urged authorities to make sure that they look at the area ahead of the 2012 race and the race officials have heeded those calls.

They have not only dubbed it the "Massa kerb", but Turns 6-7 and 8-9 have been extended from 5m width to 15m.

"We have added additional sausage kerbs to deter the drivers even more," a BIC official told the Times Of India.

"Last year there were questions raised by Ferrari but Massa's broken suspension had nothing to do with the kerbs."

Another change at the BIC will see astroturf lining to provide additional safety to run-off areas at Turns 2-3 and 7-8.

The London Grand Prix remains a pipe dream with Bernie Ecclestone admitting the race is unlikely to get support from the government.

Formula 1 engine supplier Cosworth has put itself up for sale after relinquishing hopes of floating on the stock market.

The Times newspaper reports Cosworth had instructed JP Morgan Cazenove to seek an initial public offering some 18 months ago, but the move has been ruled out because of the instability of the market.

Thailand's government sports authority says it has struck an in-principle deal to host a Formula One race in Bangkok in 2014, with negotiations ongoing about the hosting fee, according to a report in The Nation newspaper.

Kanokphand Chulakasem, governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, was quoted as saying "Formula One has decided to include Thailand in its 2014 season calendar" with a race slated for November.

He said the government will fund 60 percent of the cost, with the rest coming from sponsors including Red Bull - half Thai-owned - and the Singha brewing group. The SAT governor said talks were proceeding between F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone and representatives of Red Bull chief Chalerm Yoovidhya.

"Once the negotiations are complete, we will bring this before the cabinet for discussion and approval," Kanokphand was quoted as saying. "We will sign a deal only after we get the nod from the government."

He said the hosting fee would not be more than that paid by Singapore in its just-completed contract, which he said was 1.2 billion baht ($39.2 million) per year.

Areas reportedly under consideration for a circuit include the historic Rajdamnoen government district in central Bangkok, the city's Klong Toei port area or the northern suburb of Muang Thong Thani. Kanokphand said there had been feasibility talks with F1 officials about the prospective areas.

    • Just had this happen to me too.  R32 GTR.   Also broke "just before going out onto the track" - someone up there is looking out for us... Very scary since I was about to do a narrow street course with zero run-off and curbs everywhere. Many people on here upgrading to billet uprights and R35 bearings?   Or buying new OEM knuckles?  I am not keen to replace with another s/h 30 year old fatigued part.
    • Top off with distilled water and see what happens. If you keep losing coolant then you know to start looking.
    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
