The events calendar is up for our "Big" events next year (Check the 2010 events thread - updated in the first post).

Now that we have those locked in we'll be working on the social events to fill in on the less active months. So it will be updated by Jan. Dec is generally a very slow time since everyone is busy with their personal lives.

Keep an eye out for more social stuff happening soon. Or maybe take this opportunity to organise an "Unofficial" pizza cruise Malcolm. It's always good to see that sweet ride of your's!

(PS - just PM Shell to organise your membership renewal. We're working to get a better system up and running soon.)

Organise one, Malcolm! I'm sure you know some nice roads, and it would be good to catch up, too.

:D

Actually we were just discussing how it was a really nice example of a R33 :)

Ive just back from a nice little drive to Batemans Bays and back today, long way there and short way home, bloody cold on the top of the range, thought my car was broked for a minute, I looked down at my temp gauge and it was hardly registering, going down the mountain doing 100 kph at 5 deg outside temp will do that, traffic wasnt bad either, a little bit of it on the way down but it was cold and wet and I was driving in the clouds, awesome, but coming back up through the twities was great, only traffic I hit was just prior to a overtaking lane.

One bad point was a couple of idiot drivers using the whole road, i.e crossing double lines on bends, and not just a little bit either, one guy was a half way over the other side of the road on every corner when I came up behind him, he was crap, I blew by him on a straight and left him to cause accidents without me around to witness the mess.

Found a nice place to stay for a few days in early Jan too, I was lucky because everywhere else was booked out, 2 bd rm apartment for $190 a night, bargain.

Thinking of doing the Snowy Mountains again sometime over the next month too, 2 day trip, will be fun.

I went down to adaminaby and cooma the other day. Took the dirt track on the way there lol

It is a good run but too many idiot farmers in beat up utes doing 75 in single lane sections and 130 in the overtaking sections

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
