had a few hours free today so i rilled up me a 3 inch to 3.5 inch step and tigged it to the V-Band. Tried to go buy some tight radius 3.5 inch mandrels and was dissapointed >.<

Man this town needs some more performance orientated shops! Should have the dash fittings and line on wednesday, and stainless pipework to go to the cooler piping should be done by the end of the week :)

Ill throw some pickatures up later on of the mounting of the turbs on the GREDDY mani.

Got the power steer tank and surge tank today. Look the goods. Power steer is wrinkle black and installed already. Just waiting on pumps to arrive now and i can start the surge tank install. Should hopefully get a few front end boots this week then it can go back on the ground and go for startup :) Pics will follow tomorrow

Me: Walks into repco, up to the parts counter. "Hi, im chasing a bosch motorsport fuel pump, part number blah blah blah, also known as an 044"

Repco phag: I will go see if i have one.

Repco phag: I have this high pressure clacker pump, will it do?

Me: Facepalms. No son, it wont do, look the part number up and tell me what its worth on my trade account.

Repco phag: At trade it comes to 323.50 per pump plus a 15 dollar freight charge per item.

Me: Facepalm. Walks away.

They also sold me the wrong oil filter which kind of fitted....its o-ring was kind of bigger then std and didnt seat against the block so kind of blew out with some temp and pressure and kind of drained all the oil from the sump and knd of spun a big end....in hindsight I am gutted I didn't check the new for old side by side. Friggin Repco

Got the front end boots done today. Front end is now complete and now its on to the Surge tank install. BIG thanks go out to Brendan at VULTURE for the mega cheap pumps and MEGA GREAT service ive had from him on a few items. Now all i need to do is break in to a speedflow retailer and start making the pumps work.

Next week i am hoping to get a few days off(i work in excess of 90hrs a week) so i can get a little more progress as my neibhours are starting to get agitated at my late night booze fuelled shenanigans. Hoping to have a run in tune by the end of the month or at least early december, ill shake the car down then im throwing 40+pound at it for a hero run or 3 :)

    • I downloaded the apps (for windows) and Consult 1 doesn't have this function on it for the Consult 1 plug which I'm pretty sure all Skylines have. You would think someone would have a workaround after 30 years for all Skylines which have ABS.
    • Also, I don't know the actual ABS system on the skylines, but a sneaky thing could be a piece of electronic equipment that makes the ABS think you're moving, and then same piece can send a signal for a locked up tyre... Activate ABS without slamming brakes...
    • The team at OBD2 Australia are pretty good, shoot them an email and ask them. I've dealt with them before for work stuff. I'd be shocked if it didn't work, so long as Consult can activate the ABS. But you might need to use KLine for it which would be the stopper, as I don't think that piece does KLine comms.
    • Yeah and hence my ghetto way of slamming the brakes, get the ABS to cycle, rebleed seems to be a sensible workaround.
    • Hey! Happy to help. Nothing inherently wrong with the adapter, it's more so with Brett Collins himself. He gave me a lot of incorrect information when I was in contact with him and was extremely rude when I challenged him. He stated I could not use any aftermarket twin plate clutches except for his own, not to use the dush shield, bla bla bla and it was all BS.  Collins stated to cut roughly 14mm's off the housing, I took off 15mm to make room for the dust shield. I would confirm with whatever adapter manufacturer you're using.
