Ok guys, I couldn't search to see if this has been covered before or not since I was on my iPhone, but this blew my mind......

The rear seats on my c34 stagea are adjustable!!!!!!

Adjustable rear seats = mind blown.

Does anyone on here want to drive my car so I can sit in the rear seats?! :P

This just blew my mind!

That is all, now go on about your day as if nothing has happened....

It's so amazing! It's standard on the c34 as well, but I didn't find out till today. After owning the car for 2 years! I sat in the back and I felt like a butt raped squirrell sitting that straight. So I pulled the lever while sitting and it went back! Boy was I amazed!

well since i got my tire changed yesterday and the dicks there threaded my bolts, my rim decided to say goodbye to my car and rolled away while driving....... so now i dont have rims on the rear. but i get to sit down in my awesome rear seats!

so its all good.

Hang on; you lost a wheel?

Any damage? I'm assuming they're paying to repair?

lost a wheel, but since i was running spacers, which they clearly saw. (as the r34 gtt rims wont clear my suspension due to such a shitty offset)

they threaded the nuts, and 3 of my bolts. so when i was driving the rest kind of undid themselves during my 3 hr drive, and when i hit 70kmh, i heard a rattle then my center cap with all 5 bolts flew out, and my rim incl tire followed........

luckily since i sacked my car and the rim was in the arches, it never fully dislodged, and just hung on by about 1-2mm on the bolts, giving me just enough time to pull over.

i then called them they came down and told me they didnt want to cover me because i had spacers on...... so the guy saw my shredded tire and told me he will be a good fellow and give me a new tyre the next day........ for the low fee of $50... i bought the tire brand new for $85!!!

so i will go there on monday and really turn his neck 180 degrees!

So note to self, never ever go to St George Tires.

Tyre shops and Rattle guns... They never mix.

I specify upfront; that if they use one to tighten the nuts, I will refuse to pay. I make them list it on their work order. I also make them list that there is no damage to the rims; particularly around the wheel nuts. I didn't pay $600 for 2pak paint; only to have some donkey destroy them.

Sounds like you were pretty lucky then; could've been much worse.confused.gif

  • 2 years later...

I thought they were adjuatable. Drove mine to adel from melb on wednesday night after pocking ot up amd remember they looked noce and layed back. Got home and showed the missus around it and pulled the seat down lever. When I pulled the seats back up they looked really straight. Looked everywhere for a button or lever then just resigned it to a lack of sleep. After reading this post, I had another look.. AHHH! There's the lever! Nice amd reclined! Man the japs are on to a lot of things awesome! Love my new stag

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
