Cheers for the positive comments guys :)

Rob, I was actually expecting them to look a lot more "goofy" with the stock suspo but they seemed to have filled the guards a bit more which is good. I had the car next to a mates yesterday, who has aftermarket suspo, and the distance between his guard and rear tyre is almost identical. The only difference was the distance between the ground and the kit being almost 2 inches higher!

Those rims are Awful!!

Awful sexy!!!

Shan does work for J-spec in a sense, he spends his spare time tinkering under the office desks under the guise of computer maintenance, whereas we all know he is really looking up their skirts and getting his jollies!! :)

haha more like I inspire Craig to program. And if the boys start wearing skirts I'm not gonna go there ever again....

As for calipers Paint em the same colour as your car? its the best way to do it. Or shine em up bling bling style

SLYSX you talkin bout these ones?

There's a set of 4 and 2 sets of pairs goin for around 10000Y per set which is about $125 to buy. Add the freight costs and you've got a set for about $500 or so (guesstimate). They all come with tyres as well.

God bless J-Spec and their contacts :)

I thought about black/navy blue but, nah. I want a colour thats gonna highlight them without being too ghey/bling bling... if ya know what I mean...

grey? silver? light blue? bayside blue wouldn't hurt next to your paintjob.

there's 3 ways you can go with it. Find the colour that's opposite to your car on the spectrum, or find a colur that's the same hue but of a different saturation, or go with the same colour.

slightly off topic shan, but would u know when the Kiwi ships are leaving for OZ? I'd be interested to see cos then i can work out, well i've got such and such a time to get a car if i want it on this ship. Then if i miss one, i've got such and such a time for the next one.

I'm having trouble finding a silver, manual R34, i might have to go black but if i've got time to wait for a Silver, i will.

cheers.

They're called Enkei RS-Evolutions. mind you I can organise for someone to go to second hand tyre shops up there too (if you've ever looked thru an Option mag you'll know that there's a fair few of em with LOTS of stuff)... but that costs a lil more (have to pay the dude to go n get the rims etc but you save on shipping since you don't have to pay for shipping from the yahoo seller to tokyo).

If you need more details PM me or hop on msn n add me ([email protected])

    • I was 99% sure the standard one is long enough to get there, you might just have to change the throttle orientation. If not, I remember someone having used an r31 cable instead, but that is probably harder to find than r33 by now...
    • HELP   Hey all, Is there an accelerator cable from another Nissan that can be used on the R33 GTST RB25DET with a Greddy forward facing plenum?  Thanks in advance  Rob
    • Or do we think it was installed to give 1 bar of boost max, all day, everyday?
    • So could it be assumed it has been installed intentionally with potentially a power FC boost controller kit?
    • Had my rig on Matt's dyno at PITS the other day. After a few years between tunes I added a few sensors and swapped intercoolers. Result. 553hp at 26psi. Not bad for an FJ20 that was built in 2007. The problem.. It filled the overflow bottle on hard runs which leads me to believe the head gasket isn't sealing. I have a coolant pressure sensor which was reading cap pressure at 22psi and occasionally overrunning to 23/24 psi on deceleration after a pull. It was not spiking. It has arp2000 head studs and a cometic gasket. As its been 18 years in service, I pulled the engine out and head off. Everything looks good but we obviously have an issue. Where I'm at.. Years ago I had the same issue, I checked the stud tension and they were all over the place. Some at 60 to 70 and some up near 90. I nipped them all to 100ft lbs and this stopped the water push until now. I believe this compromised the gasket back then. What do I do? 2 options are..  1) I bought arp 625+s, which I could put in with a new gasket. Thinking Kameari this time, reassemble and try again. 2) strip the block, get fire rings machined in with copper gasket and try that. I do not want to push it more than 28 to 30psi. I think the turbo will be out by then anyway. (G30-770). My other concern is the long term ability of a copper head gasket. Are they streetable for years? I feel like a new gasket with the new studs will probably suffice, but I don't know. Any thoughts welcome and advice on copper gaskets and fire rings. Thanks!
