wow great photo man, thanks for that! loved how grippy the surface was, meant you could really put the foot in and have a bit of fun :)

Wow man so many killer shots in your album, can't believe so many people bothered taking photos of me - I expected to be a bit of an outcast in my beat up 180 but really did feel welcomed by everyone

You're welcome anytime Jack.

Another one on July 15th - Calendar marked?

That's the great thing about SAU events, everyone is welcome (as you found out in the morning, some ribbing happens occasionally just because you're different but it's only done in the spirit of friendly competition!

Yeah exactly - bit of friendly banter never hurt anyone :D

I was happy to say the cab joke as I have a commodore which is basically a barge also haha. Mind you, doesnt go or sound anywhere as good as the blue XR8 that was there. Hope those guys had fun and come again

Great day everyone, been a while since i've been to an event however it was as good as I remember them..

Good to see you back at SAUNSW events :)

a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the organisers, and volunteers that made today possible.

and geez, that r32 in your photo looks good

Yeah just some random R32 that showed up haha

Do you have straight cut gears by any chance?

Yes.. hearing the exhaust sound echo off the TAFE buildings was pretty cool too :D

Even a hookers Vag doesnt take it as hard as your 32

lol, descriptive!

It's true though, the best thing about Michael is that you only have to ask him once if he'd like to test a course for me early in the morning to see if it's fun or needs changing, or rip a heli. He always answers with a yes and a smile, the man just loves giving that car a hard time haha!

Michael was kind enough to take two of my mates (new to SAUNSW, one just bought a 260RS and the other is into BMW's) out for runs and well - they're both entering next time. Thanks again Michael :D

why, no, no i dont....

this leads me to wondering every time i drive it, how long until it goes "bang"?

Looking though OLD SCHOOL pics and threads for the upcoming Sutton Rd event, found this pearler of a photo - needs the caption "where the fu(k do i go?"

Anyone thats been to Sutton Rd will understand, here's a teaser, this video is of the facility (but we drive much faster of course).

Note;

-Elevation changes

-Camber changes (hard to see on video)

-Crests

You have NO idea how happy I am to be putting this on down there again. Strictly limited entry spots, only running this once per year.

Remember, we dont have a speed limit :D

Now THIS is what I'm talkin about! Where is Sutton Road and where do I get more info?! Brakes will defo be on by then!!

Whose car is that in the vid above Stevo?

Thanks for the shots x2 of my car Jeff.

You've got a shooter's eye

You also supplied proof, that at my age, I can still park straight :nyaanyaa:

No probs Terry :-)

Dont come to SAU all that often since selling my 33GTR and didn't realise the N1 was yours... Would've loved to bug you to see more of it .. Next time I will!

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
