Well much to my shock, never seen this before however in the last week I have noticed a fair bit of police activity on the fwy, much of them pulling over cars between Russell road and Armadale Road. North and Southbound.

I was traveling across the Russell road bridge that goes over the fwy about 30 minutes ago and spotted a police bike who had pulled up on the walking path for the bridge/overpass, over the southbound lane with a radar gun and a hand radio. Pin pointing cars that were speeding down the fwy to another officer was sitting behind the bridge on the fwy, hidden on his bike waiting for the speeding motorist.

so be warned approaching overpasses from now on. Especially on that bit after Armadale road, because of all the crap traffic thats where it frees up and most motorists nail it down there in frustration of all the traffic soup they just sat in til Roe hwy. Not many peeps do 100 down there.

Yeah you see them doing it all the time where the graeme farmer hits the mitchell.

Another favourite is the tonkin hwy heading south after forrest rd. Same thing, traffic frees up, people nail it, cops are waiting.

At the end of the day, dont speed, and its not an issue

agreed! it's pretty good here definitely...comparing to alot of other countries. I would know, I'm from South East Asia, all cops there are just asking for bribes.

its all relevant. . .if WA cops went to Bali to do policing they would have a meltdown, scooters overtaking on the left of cars in the left lane and all sorts of things that would get you a ticket quicker than you could blink if it happened here and you know what?it all works!saw no examples of road rage, no speed cameras/radars , no cops hiding behind bushes ready to pounce on a motorist doing 2ks over the speed limit

dont they have to show u the radar to confirm the speed you were going otherwise they could just bullshit and do what they like?

ive been shown the reading on the radar by the cops and as i pointed out to him "that could of been there since yesterday"

And indonesia has a road toll of approx 28 000 deaths a year, compared to our ~350 a year.....

Population differences...congestion, infrastructure, density....

plus narrow/uneven roads, didnt see one prang on the road, altho i didnt drive in indonesia at all i felt safer on the roads there than i do here

I spent 10 days in China, saw 1 woman fall off a moped in that time,

it doesnt change the fact that the chinese kill over 100 000 people a year on the road, and seriously injure around half a million per year. And this is in a counrty where less than 30% of the population has access to personal transport.

My point is, comparing Australian roads to any other country (especially asian one) is stupid.

How is it stupid? an australian came off his scooter in bali today and died, is that the roads fault?

... Possibly? Lol. If he drove into one of the many pot-holes they have, then yes, I'd say that was a fault in the road. If not then obviously not, but I don't see what exactly him being Australian has to do with anything?

hmm... when i got my only speeding fine a couple years ago *touch wood* the officer told me i was going 20km over the speed limit but i asked to see the radar i was only going 12km over.. it had my plates on it i think??

always keep in mind the po po have the upper hand! if they cant ping you for speeding they will yellow sticker you for empty washer bottle or worn windscreen wiper blades!

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
