Over the 5 years I've noticed a few things making noises an moving. Just curious if anyone else had noticed it too.

My clutch pedal clicks and dips sideways a little like there is a piece worn out of the pivot point.

The front of my drivers seat lifts with acceleration. Like the rails are worn badly.

My rear hood lining isn't stuck to the roof anymore on the front edge. Like the clips just won't hold the weight. And as far as I know it's never been removed.

These are the little things that go wrong with older cars; this is exactly why people sell perfectly good cars; a little time & investigation can yield very cheap, easy repairs.

The clutch pedal will have a nylon bush on the pivot point; these do wear.

You should be able to buy a new one from Nissan, or if you are friends with a machinist; they could spin you up a new one if you provide the old one as a sample.

Seat rails may well be wearing; but there may be something you can tighten depending on their construction. I've also tacked little shims into frames to tighten the slides. Have you pulled one out to have a look?

Due to the amount of heat that the roof lining cops, if it is held by plastic clips; these may well have gone brittle & broken.

Not sure how yours is assembled because I don't have a C34; I'm sure one of the guys who've had the headlining out will know.

Il probably get a bush made at work for the clutch pedal

If that's the case. It only got really bad when I put a hd clutch in.

I need some more back friendly seats anyway so some new rails and seats will fix the moving seat issue.

I've got one glue patch unstuck and 2 clips just not holding.

I'm not really worried about it just curious what others have noticed over ownership.

Mine's been pulled apart a few times, so I'm starting to notice a few rattles behind the dash: eventually I'll tear it all out and find the culprits... clutch pedal requires regular greasing, as it squeaks... other than that, not much to report, happily....thumbsup.gif

My roof lining needs attention. The stock seats offer little in the way of lateral support - GTR ones bolt right in - I have a set of Recaros out of a late model Honda - just needed a new seat base and sliders - hold me in much better on corners.

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
