camandcandice
The head to block use a dowel pin, I'm thinking they must be for one of the front covers because of the zip lock bag i had them in I've tried Nissan fast program to try and locate them but still come up with nothing Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/396336-where-do-these-go/#findComment-6295376 Share on other sites

kitto
They are the dowels that align the head to the block OR the dowels that align the plenum to the throttle bodies. If they are 18mm +/- they are the head to block alignment dowels. Guilt-Toy
they are the dowels that locate the head to the block. just try and slot them into your head, that will answer your question Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/396336-where-do-these-go/#findComment-6295453 Share on other sites

boostn0199
I also reckon its the head to block aligners looks like it. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/396336-where-do-these-go/#findComment-6295542 Share on other sites
Scott Black
if you used an arp stud kit you may have just been able to align the head without the dowels on there and not noticed that you needed them, if the engines out of the car and easy to rip the head off then id just do that to be sure, althought they could also be dowels from the box to the motor Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/396336-where-do-these-go/#findComment-6295554 Share on other sites
camandcandice
The motor is still on the engine stand, I prob used the stud kit as alignment and not thought twice, the r33 engine manual has no mention of there being locating dowels which is why I may have over looked it, guess what I'm doing this weekend then god damn it!!, unless you guys think the arp stud kit would line the head up enough?or best not to risk it?
