you have to pay each year ... I think it is $190 for up to 6 letters .... I'm still deciding what to get for my R34 - in the lead is R34GTT (not sure if it's gone) or R34P3R (for those that understand leet-speak/1337-speak), or just my last name (which I already own the rights to), or just plain old CCs .... decisions, decisions .... :P

apparently there was a cruise on today with a porshe in it? they met at castle plaza

Darn....this is the meet and cruise my brother rang me about jumping up and down screaming lol :P ... nice long cruise or just a short one?

Went for a cruise last week with a Red R31GTS (GTS167), REd Beemer, and R30 turbo coupe... Fun little cruise through town and around the beaches!

Also been seeing a Black R34 GTR which is pretty shcmick!!!! on the way to work some mornings!

Getting problem with my turbo sorted -- > believe it to be the exhaust manifold had warped due to heat from turbo and had snapped some of the bolts holding it on! Look out next few weeks going to be pushin car hard!!!!!! heheheheheheheh

DC GTST what uni did you study at.... I studied at flinders and did the same course youy did (compuyter systems whingineeering).....

Saw a sick looking black R33gtr at horsehoe bay sat!

unfortunately i live like 5-10 minutes away from Flinders uni, but went to UniSA at MAWSON LAKES!!! ..lol...'whingineering'...does seem like that ay  My brother went to horseshoe bay the other day as we (I work as tradesman for father while on holidays -> now waiting for graduation) were working there...brother has a black 32. By any chance, and no laughing please, did a lady/women ask you about ya car a while back at Flinders....the reason i said that is me mum told me she spoke to someone who owns a R33 (she knows her cars) and about its history.... so was just wondering. I do end up at Flinders now and then however to help my mum with her sociology courses :P

Today saw about 3 white R33's.... can't tell whose who

um drive it :D

those plate r they a 1 off payment or do u have to pay each year

Just a quick question, isn't there one with 6 letters (or numbers) that you can get that is an only once off payment? two of my both have personalised number plates (not over six letters) and they only had to make a once time payment, both having them having em for about 3-4 years now. Or is it having more than one number on the plate result of it? :P

R and S series number plates are available for $70 once off. R and S being.... has to start with a R or S and goes 3 letters then 3 numbers eg(mine):RBB 033.

The R and S series works well for us nissan fans Rb and Sr, But these plates might be already taken on some old car that has had the plate for 20 odd years already, Pot luck really!

thx for that info thats alot better option

thx for the link too maxx

did u? never seen u at IST or engineering building

i believe "R31turbo" is doing the same course as u

was there for five years!!!! finished in 2004..... didnt go to ist building much... SPent most my time in engineering building or down at the gym! Was a bitch of a course!!!!!!-- stuck at uni in my final years to 6 ish most days!!!!! Now working for ElectroSux home products in theri cooking plant at dudley park as an electrical engineer.

Tell you what Maxx the parking expecters are bastards out that way: they allow you to park on the grass on a tuesdays but on a wednesday if you did that around engineering they would give you a fine!!!! --> another way to make money offf the students i guess!

DC GTST no i didnt have my skyline in my flinders days --> had a chamelian ford probe. (which is slow compared to line) so i dont think your ma had a chat...

bahaha yeah im doing that course 2 subjetcts to go

How are you coping witht the lack of females in your classes!!! When i was there it was a sausage fest!!!... Cant blame the girls from not wanting to undertake an engineering course there as most the people doing the course are pretty geeky.

(and course is rather boring). Luckily had a few good people there to keep me sane!

i remember ur ford probe. ive seen u round... ur 1 yr ahead of me.

as for the lack of females i got a gf but we had two good ones in our year nicole and cammy HI GIRLS :D they know me but i doubt they are reading this lol. that is all... :P

i know a few people in ur years prob.

stinky john bahaha

and dung lee?

+ many others

i porb know u from the gym ive been going there for like 5yrs now

Well you're not the only one who had to suffer that same fate lol. Until last year we had basically no chicks at the uni period (mawson lakes). However once Underdale closed last year was the best ever. In terms of the course i think i know two female engineers period, may have been a few more in civil engineering but not sure. But yeh, in the last year (2005) it sucked having to work hard to finish with honors and try to find a reason to go down the other end of the campus to even see a chick lol.

I also agree with having decent people, at least me mates talked about cars and going out rather than the latest modification to their computer and what it does to every single thing they play

Spotted a maroon (or is that marone?) 33 turning from Marion road right onto sturt, think it was a chick, with a smile on their faces as i was leaving the lights down marion road with two police motorcycles on my left...i think they were laughing at the expression of my face leaving the lights without trying to make the car rev to loud or hear the turbo spoiling through the pod...lol...think it had some decals on the back right...or stickers at least of some sort...

Also spotted a black 32 on blacks road

Yeah go tto know Cammi (we called her Kazams beacuse of her personal flotation devices!) and nicole quite well over the years i was there.. They were always trying to get my answers from the previous years... They are nice girls.

Yeah i know stinky John.... try and avoid him though for obviuous reasons.

yeah no Dung aswell -- he is a good bloke!

I was in the gym pretty much every daY WHEN I WAS STUDYING ... HAD TO VENT ALL THAT FRUSTRATION AND BOREDOM SOMEHOW!

gET MY CAR BACK TONIGHT.... bOY AM I GOING TO PUSH IT HARD FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS!!!!!!!!!! WHILE I STILL HAVE A LICENCE....

spotted a black 33 on payneham rd turning right onto hancock rd (i think) i made sure they heard me as i passed, looked very nice, gtr wing not sure if was gtr. any1 here?

lol REdgtst, if ur out crusing 2nite i might c u around...

    • What are we supposed to be seeing in the photo of the steering angle sensor? The outer housing doesn't turn, right? All the action is on the inside. The real test here is whether or not your car has had the steering put back together by a butcher. When the steering is centred (and we're not caring about the wheel too much here, we're talking about the front wheels, parallel, facing front) then you should have an absolutely even number of turns from centre to left lock and centre to right lock. If there is any difference at all then perhaps the thing has been put back together wrongly, either the steering wheel put on one spline (or more!) off, and the alignment bodged to straighteb the wheel, or the opposite where something silly was done underneath and the wheel put back on crooked to compensate. Nut there isn't actually much evidence that you have such a problem anyway. It is something you can easily measure and test for to find out though. My money is still on the HICAS CU not driving the PS solenoid with the proper PWM signal required to lighten the load at lower speed. If it were me, I would be putting either a multimeter or oscilloscope onto the solenoid terminals and taking it for a drive, looking for the voltage to change. The PWM signal is 0v, 12V, 0V, 12v with ...obviously...modulated pulse width. You should see that as an average voltage somewhere between 0V and 12V, and it should vary with speed. An handheld oscilloscope would be the better tool for this, because they are definitely good enough but there's no telling if any cheap shit multimeter that people have lying around are good enough. You can also directly interfere with the solenoid. If you wire up a little voltage divider with variable resistor on it, and hook the PS solenoid direct to 12V through that, you can manually adjust the voltage to the solenoid and you should be able to make it go ligheter and heavier. If you cannot, then the problem is either the solenoid itself dead, or your description of the steering being "tight" (which I have just been assuming you mean "heavy") could be that you have a mechanical problem in the steering and there is heaps of resistance to movement.
    • Little update  I have shimmed the solenoid on the rack today following Keep it Reets video on YouTube. However my steering is still tight. I have this showing on Nisscan, my steering angle sensor was the closest to 0 degrees (I could get it to 0 degrees by small little tweaks, but the angle was way off centre? I can't figure this out for the life of me. I get no faults through Nisscan.
    • The BES920 is like the Toyota Camrys of coffee machines. E61 group head is cool, however the time requirements for home use makes it less desirable. The Toyota Camry coffee machine runs twin boilers and also PID temp control, some say it produces coffees as good as an E61 group head machine.
    • And yes with a full tank it will hit limiter free revving or driving 6B6CDF6E-4094-426D-A9CB-6C553475FE36.mp4
    • One way of putting the fuel surge idea to rest, is that even when in neutral/clutch in or free revving it still has the same issue, it can’t even get to limiter (7800) so to me that says it can’t be g force, I’m not trying to argue I just want to find the f&$king issue 😡
