Have ya tried a stock cas to fix the misfire?

Haven't tried anything Pete. I just haven't driven it. That's an easy test to do though. I believe it's a hot join in the coil pack loom as I have deleted the standard igniter and running an aftermarket one. Now with the moving around of that loom It might have buggered one connection. That will now be redone with a plug. On the dyno it's at exactly the same point, on the road it changes with load, gear and ambient temp. Fkn shit thing.

Love the build mate!!

Regarding the misfire, have you checked the coilpacks are getting a strong constant power? I had a shitty misfire once which was the constant power in the loom dropping due to a dirty/coroded loom plug.

Thanks mate. I haven't, no. The loom itself is no more than 5000 Kms old. It was all fine the night I popped the engine, now this BS.. Yavuz will sort it. :)

I have a great suggestion on custom plates for ur car...GR8WHT (as in great white shark)

That costs money. Haha.

Bit of a delay getting out there. Looks like Friday or Saturday at this stage.

Finally made it to UE yesterday. Woohoo!

A few little things going on like staging the fuel pumps under "X" RPM or Boost. (No needs to have two feed 044's buzzing away on the freeway heating fuel and pissing me off). Obviously the stupid missfire will be looked at and a tune with some decent boost and RPM. ATM its sitting at 380 rwkw at 19 psi with 7000 RPM being used. A bit of cam timing to be played with (not for outright power but the broadest area under the curve I can achieve). Might chuck a 30 PSI run in there to see how much these little snails can make.

A picture I took of the sperm whale a few weeks ago after I gave it a wash. Currently it has Nismo LM GT 4's in bronze borrowed from Joey's car.

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I highly rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
