The cover was enough to make me buy it... havent had a read yet but there is a sexy red R33 GTST with 307 rwkw owned by Denzo the great with a carbon bonnet (woohoo) Vs. a Red RX7.

also noticed a modded RS Stagea wagon mm

Go buy it:uh-huh:

 C'mon Matt it's not too bad for an internally stock 2.5L :)

Mind you it runs a 1.2mm HKS h/g, cams, head work, & every other possible bolt on! I watched this thing do a few 290+rwkw runs that were pretty impressive (@ 1.5 bar I think?).

Important point!!! IF it doesn't still run stock internals, as quoted on the JMS site(& @ the Adelaide Autosalon) then I'm not that impressed.

Its reliability & longevity with ~300rwkw on stock internals is the most interesting factor :uh-huh:

Here's the car in question - http://www.japanesemotorsport.com.au/newr33.html

OK! :)

I bought it today. The red GTS-t with carbon fibre bonnet looks omg sexy  ...I didn't think it would suit a red car but that's changed my mind.

pete, yeah that was funny hey! I'm glad they wrote about that...the newspaper article was total crap and it's good to see someone in the media giving them a bagging :)

Yeah, it would be interesting to see how long she does it for... Bloody nice looking car in any case... It's convinced me to order the 400R front bar + carbon bonnet :)

How you been anyway Matt, I haven't heard from you in a while!

It sure does look nice :uh-huh: It's interesting to see just how far stock RB25 internals can go?!

It'd be nice to nail down the maximum safe hp level so we know how far we can push :D Not that it's relevant to you Matt :)

Yeah I'm not too bad mate :D The arrival of :gaga: has kept me busy though. I now look a little like this ---> :coffee:

If you actually read the current issue..

SPEED has probably already receivde quite a few emails/mails about the Integra type R featured in it... (not that we really care about honduh :) )

This is what SPEED replied to one of the loyal readers/buyers:

Hi,

Yeah, quite a few people picked up on that blooper. It's supposed to be 169km/h. We'll publish a retraction next issue.

Hope you liked the rest of the magazine.

Cheers,

Curt Dupriez

SPEED

I'v read it at newsagent.. Ralph/FHM seems to be good reading too.. :)

im not sure if its a mistake, but with the integra type R, it says "Power is now 108kw at the wheels, thanks to $30,000 of go-fast components" now that is a damn lot of $$$$$$ to spend to get 108kw at the wheels. i thought that the type R would have that much power normally. or are honda's that weak? hehe.

    • Am I correct in assuming that the R35's are getting the classic skyline haircut off the odometer?  Quick search on carsales, there are 33 08 and 09 GTR's for sale, only 2 of them have more then 100,000km's on them (116,075 and 110,000 respectively).  And somehow there are about 25 for sale with around 60,000kms? Looks like the classic skyline haircut to me =/
    • @Stringycheese  Have you only gone to the one blue slip workshop?  There will be a heap of them where ever you live, good odds that the next place you go to will pass the car.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) every blue slip / engineering workshop will be different and will be happy passing or failing different things - despite working from the same set of rules. It's kinda like 2 lawyers arguing over a piece of legislation, each saying their interpretation is correct. Might seem strange that this happens when it comes to getting a modified car passed, but this is very much a thing. A big part of the game is finding an engineer / workshop that is on the same page as you.
    • Bah. I daily mine. ~60km per work day, 10-12 thousand km per year. What's the point of having a dirty old Datto and leaving it in the shed. It needs to be driven and enjoyed while the govco allows us to do so. It will only be a few years before we're forbidden to even start up internal combustion engines.
    • Judging by that spring perch and the normal looking spring on it - not a coilover. Well.... it is a coilover, just a stock format coilover, rather than what everyone calls a coilover.
    • Yes it is. We get stock from Nismo directly. I'm happy to take photos/video of it as proof before I ship it with timestamps or whathaveyou.
