Good to meet you to mate, im sure i will catch you at other events and cruises etc.. nice pics

yeah fingers crossed, lots of stuff happening this year with little cruises and track days all over the place. I hope i hear when the next lowdown is on too as being a 3min drive from my place makes it unmissable!

your pics were better, quality over quantity anyday!

im guessing your camera isnt a straight out of the pocket compact though?

ha cheers mate..

yea i have a DSLR, but not very good with it.. starting to play with photo editing to try make them better too..

I do have more pics, but mainly just of the 3 SAU cars, and quite a few of mine (slowly learn how to take pictures of the yellow, not the easiest colour imo).. and a bunch of the other ones my gf took over the whole show.

Swung past for a little bit with a few mates to check it out and gota say there was some nice cars out!

Anth the yellow definately does look alot better in person and pictures dont do it justice! Matt's Nur just looked stunning as always

what a great turn out.. was nice meeting you guys there same there wernt more sau guys in our group, but there was a heap of gtr's on display which was good to see...

hopefully we can organise a big cruise soon an catch up again

Was an awesome event. The black nur that arrived at the same time i did was stunning!

Thanks natett - and huge congrats to you if I'm not mistaken, your TRD Supra took out Best in Show, right? Can we have a few more pics of your car? I managed to grab one of your engine bay but there were too many people standing around your car to get a good shot of the exterior :)

Great day!

heres some pics... sorry if there abit crap.. still finding my feet with photo editing.

Thanks for the pics Anthony. Was good to see you again, you did a great job cleaning the car after a long drive down from Newy!

pics look pretty good ant,

i think they could have set the three of you up a bit better though for photos, positioning is a bit awkward imo

maybe its artistic haha idk

Yeah we didn't really spend much time lining up cars to begin with, maybe next time you could help us arrange them, and next time hopefully we'll have more SAU guys together with some banners and merchandise, etc. :)

Was great to meet you Jayson, your KR4 33R looked amazing. I forgot your mate's name but his '02 also looked fantastic; incredibly tidy classic!

In an event such as Lowdown,...

a) should SAU.NSW have a banner, a desk with membership applications, display their "SAU.NSW" number plate on a Member's car perhaps?

b) would Lowdown give us enough latitude do you think, so that SAU could do this?

Nick and I have already spoken to Justin and an event organiser about this - stay tuned in for more info. Maybe target an EOMM around Aug (we have a bit on in July). If anyone has a lead on reasonable banners for our 3x3 and 3x6 cabanas send me the info. Did some checking but they've all been unreasonable.

That first pic is great ant!

I don't know about angles and what not matt, just think your car shouldn't be hiding all alone by itself behind the other guys.

I'd be more keen to go if it had more SAUness to it, I went to a EOMM once and it included a cold ass Carpark at night with a lot sour faced, unfriendly people that you knew were "those types" of people.

Was there for an hour and thought I'd leave before I was a witness to a stabbing.

The low down seemed a lot better and I was going to attend and enter but I had a piss up that weekend :)

If there was more club support with suggested things and some few formiliar faces it'd be worth the 4 hours driving

I like that second pic for some reason It just looks good to me

Do you use a tripod or just point and shoot?

One last question is where is the pic in your sig taken at?

Cheers mate, I like that one too. It's a little harsh, with a lot of sharpness, but not to bad imo for pretty average editing skills.

No tripod, I do have one, but only really required for me in low light etc.. I do have a DSLR though.

The sig pic is up top of sugarloaf.

    • I read this and thought "ah! I will do this scissor jack on the tow point thing!" I just use my floor/low profile/costco jack and lift the car up by the tow hook itself, then slide jack stands under. Never thought about using scissor into floor jack combo :p
    • Well, my new WMI system took much longer to finalize. I actually missed my dyno appointment last Friday and lost my 150$ deposit. I'll be going back in the next week or two.  To sum it up. I only kept the AEM tank from my old setup. I replaced the AEM pump with a higher flow/pressure ProMeth 30GPH pump. I also swapped over to a 6AN low pressure feed line to the pump from the tank. There's also a pressure switch you cannot see on the pump high pressure line.    This is feeding 6x 200CC direct port nozzles and 1x 500CC Pre Throttle body nozzle. All fittings are Swagelok, because well why not. I also have a 300PSI pressure sensor up front.    I now have my Haltech ECU controlling everything. I start my pump with a basic relay at 5PSI and deadhead it. I then PWM a 3000CC methanol Injector to control flow starting around 10psi. The pressure switch in the trunk, along with my tank level are safeties before I ever get to 10PSI, and then I use my pressure sensor upfront as a secondary safety to cut the WMI and corrections in case the injector blocks or a line ruptures.  Wish me luck on the dyno!
    • So, I'm back with bad news. There's no jack long enough on this planet that will reach the front subframe. If by some chance there is, it would weigh 200lb's.  I purchased a long reach jack... The damn thing weighted 120lb's and was massive. Didn't even come close, was still short at least a foot. It was a pain, but I brought it back. Next I decided HA! No problem, I'll get an Extra long reach jack. Well, I couldn't lift the box... It must have weighed 160LB's and luckily there was an open box in store. I took measurement and was still nowhere close.  Sadly I've lost hope and have accepted defeat.
    • Thanks for that tip, niZmO_Man. I think the battery is OK. It's quite a new one, but I'll check. Last time I needed a new battery, everything electronic was fine, except that there wasn't enough current to turn over the starter. I decided to order one of the partial AV system translation CDs from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. That might have some effect, or help me diagnose the date problem. 🤞
    • I suppose it was relatively stock too, the JZ motor handle most mods thrown at them without even breaking a sweat
