Holden chat never happened.

My first car.

Really warped my mind on what "Performance" meant.

Holden chat - post numbers 27 and 28 (on page 2) - one of which was your contribution. Alzheimers is awesome eh? Get to hide your own Easter Eggs and you are always meeting new people.

I had an EA Auto wagon - for about 3 months during which time it had more parts replaced than a Bukkaemono racer trying to shave 11 seconds off his Wakefield time. (except the EA parts were not a figment of someones imagination).

Then I saw the light...

My 2c

I traded my black R34 GTR in on an Evo7, and got a whole lot of cash

Those cars are so f**king good, you forget about the 34 in no time

For 2 years it didnt cost me a cent other than petrol and oil, they are tough, stock

I recently got an offer too good to refuse on my Evo7, so I'm back in a GTR, my 4th, and I'm very happy

I'd also gladly go back to an Evo if the deal was right

so what youre saying is. gtr -> evo -> gtr

that means gtr wins!

Lol you say an Evo 7 is just as good if not better than a 34r but you got back into an R very confusing ! I have both evo7 and 34R

Evo7 = ultimate every day car/people mover with performance even make bad drivers look like good drivers

34R = ultimate drivers car the feeling and sound is amazing rwd bias suits me better looks better than anything and can do a u turn (Evo fails at this)

Beer+SAU=what happened?

OP paid $80,000 for car, earns 3,000 in six weeks, so that's $500 per week and is he's 22.

The way I see it even if it included the purchase cost, he dedicated every cent he earned for 3.076 years to his car. Or, he has spent 50 cents in the dollar every day since his 16th birthday.

Either way, that's commitment people.

Cheers for the posts. This is the sort of information I was looking for when making the thread. Evo is definately a high contender if i ever decide to sell up on the GTR.

80k... Spent - you including purchase price there ye?

Ofcourse. If i had spent 80k on a GTR after purchase and it wasnt doing 9 second passes I would jump

Actually payed a fair bit less for the car, the 80k I was referring to was the overal value the car has cost me to this day due to modification.

You fellas forget to realise that when your younger and minus the responbility of kids and a milking wife/fiance/gf - if your earning decent coin its very easy to put aside $400 a week, some weeks more some weeks less. Ive known an electrical apprentice who managed to save 70k in his 4 year venture earning stuff all money for the first 2 years.

The R34 GTR was my dream car, i worked hard for it, done what i had to do and made a sh*tload of sacrifices along the way saving up but in the end I did it

inb4 more cash/pablo escobar jokes

Then why even contemplate getting rid of it?

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
