Clutch is back – looks brand new. Clamping force has gone from~2400 to 3900. Should be now up to the task of anything this new motor can produce.

Some more parts have started to arrive – Samco hoses for the intercooler pipes and new ducting for the front brake cooling ducts from the front bar.

New rear diffuser brackets. I will get photos of before and after for installation.

The ducting is a standard SAMCO product. Williams Race Services is the aussie dealer ('Mike' helped me out with my stuff):

SAMCO specific site with prices:

Wind-up of clamp load and resurfing of the puks & flywheel. Everything was in pretty good order.

Sweet! Unlike mine that went up for a rebuild and came back totally replaced

Have you got pics of the plates etc? Just out of interest :)

Coatings done – Sickkkkkkk!!!!

Hot side should be installed on the motor today or tomorrow.

I also recently invested in some 2200cc EV14 injectors (thanks DVS-JEZ for the awesome price) with the intention of eventually converting the car to flex-fuel. I was in Perth last week and found that it is currently illegal for the servo’s to sell E85 from the bowser. So E85 plans have been put on hold.

It didn’t really surprise me that much that they didn’t have bowser E85 TBH - they only got shell v-power a year or two back. The WA (or Wait Awhile) government always seems to be a few years behind picking things up from the rest of Australia.

Damn WA, just stay in Newy and Cruise ;)

You can't have the monopoly on the black themed engine bay!!!

Yeah dam WA :domokun: . Two years i had the car in newe, met one other current skyline driver before i took it off the road, and now look at the crowd thats here.

I'll be back eventually :-)

Gearbox has also been picked up so everything is ready to go in. Should be installed and running by end of next week, just in time for shipping to Perth.

Piggaz - Paul didn’t do that intake mod you sent through due to time restraints. Next time i add some mods that require a new tune, i'll do it then.

Cheers,

Joel

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
