Earlier this week the German press carried claims that Mark Webber would definitely leave Red Bull at the end of this season. Today, however, a stronger rumour emerged suggesting that the Australian driver will do the exact opposite and flat refuse to leave the team, even if they want him to.

Marks not bloody going anywhere, said a source close to the F1 star. Whether they bloody like it or not, hell be there in 2014, leaving all the lights on in the pit, knocking over piles of tyres, releasing a brown shark into the motorhome shitter and then not flushing. Oh yea, Red Bull are gonna be stuck with him all season.

Our inside man claims that Webber has already dreamt up several other disruptions such as holding a powerful magnet near Adrian Neweys brain until key items of data are wiped, leaving a land mine on the pit wall, just under Christian Horners jiggly foot and giving interviews in which he describes the Red Bull drink as robot piss.

F1 pundits have already noted that this scheme will come to nothing if Webbers seat is given to another driver but our source claims the Aussie racer has already thought of that; If some other bloody idiot gets the drive, Mark will just bring his own car, our mole revealed. Truth is, hes been nicking bits for bloody years. All he needs to do is stick em all together and hes got an RB6/7/8/9 of his own. It wont win races but trust me, itll be bloody good at accidentally crashing into Sebastian Vettel.

why can't all rumours about mark be like this?

It does appear that Mateschitz is Mark's biggest backer in the team. All negotiations are direct between Mark and him and for whatever reason they seem to havea good relationship. I recall reading Mark stayed at his holiday get away over summer, an offer not extended to anyone else in the RBR family

It was said recently that Hamiltons approach was blocked because Dietrish said Mark has first dibs if he wants to keep the seat. So shows the level of support/respect he has for Mark

I hope Kimi goes toe to toe with Vettel. He probably has the sort of natural feel and pace that can allow him to beat Vettel consistantly. One can only hope.

But I hope we get the 2010 Webber back with bit between his teeth and we get a fight for this years WDC. He doesnt have to win it but FFS FIGHT OLD SON!

Some more video-audio from the last race. Not sure its all the radio calls. But you do get the feeling that the race was being run from the pit wall and not the drivers seats.

If you watch the race edit on the F1 site you hear the "Multi21 map Sebastian" call.

I cant wait for the next GP. RBR normally go ok there and Seb has a good record so will be interesting to see how it pans out

I just posted this on another forum, but I'm putting it here too.

! watched the MotoGP this morning. Nice to see some actual GrandPrix racing - you know, where the best guys on the day sort out the podium places on the track, instead of fat old bastards behind the pit wall determining the outcome, allegedly because they don't think their 20,000,000 pound drivers are good enough to overtake one another without f**king it all up. MotoGP rookie passed his established teammate with 5 or 6 laps to go and the world did not end!
It was also nice to see guys pushing hard right through the race rather than cruising at 80% most of the time, thanks to having race tyres designed to actually perform - a radical concept for the pinacle of motorsport... F1 has f**ked things royally IMO.
Less FAKE SHOW and more GRANDPRIX RACING thanks!

Moto gp riders still have to find that balance between all out pace and blistering the rear tyres. It's not as much of a fine line as f1 though.

It is funny though that the racing category that us generally classed as the pinnacle of motor racing is also the category where they aren't pushing 100% very much. Having said that, i think that the speed difference between what they are driving at and flat out is bugger all (maybe a few tenths), otherwise the last few laps of the gp would see anyone with plenty of fuel left and decent tyres romping through the field.

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
