AFRs were low 10s under WOT which is too low imo. I admit he did fix some of the issues I just don't feel like it was a 100% job. It came back running less boost as asked with the same power so it was positive from that regard.

I'm pretty sure Trojan would have access to a dyno, just not sure which etc. Give John a call and ask. I found him always helpful and knowledgeable.

Trojan use Jake's Performance' dyno don't they?

NJR - Pete basically does most of his tunes a little bit rich to be on the safe side. Do you know what your AFRs were?

I had my Power FC tuned today at Autotech by Ed from Integra. Running a bit more boost now, feels and sounds like a totally new car.

Could not be happier :)

Hey Graham,

Met you y.day at Autotech, how did your final runs go?! Outa interest, have you got a turbo back, or cat back zhaust?

- M

hey mate!

Yeah, it made 195.5kW @12.5psi after the tune, but the power band is much nicer now, a lot more power from the lower rev range, don't need to wrap it out to get it moving.

Pretty sure it's a cat back.

How much did the 200SX end up putting out?

Sweeeet, yah when I finally got a PFC, the extra ignition wound into it down low, made it much meatier and responsive.

The S14 made a paltry 190'ish@1bar due to the stock 10yr old coils breaking down. With the new turbo and usual pump, inj, FPR mods, we were hoping for 220-230'ish. Spitfires and a few weeks, we'll be back there

Once again, Marc and the Boys at Belconnen Discount Tyre Service have helped me out again.

Honestly, i can't fault these guys. If you're northside, and want to be looked after for everything but the major stuff - give em a call. Marc has SydneyKid on speed dial if its needed and plus pervin' on his new Stagea is neat too.

Hi Guys,

I'm in the process of packing for the big move from Tamworth to Canberra (living in Queanbeyan/working in Fyshwick) to take up a new job, till now I was wondering where I could find someone who will know and importantly care about my stock R33.

After having a browse through this topic (which started in 2004) and printing off 54 pages I think I will get some answers. Thanks very much for the help guys, greatly appreciated.

By the way, if anyone is in Tamworth and needs a helping hand with a Skyline, or any Jap performance car for that matter, no one does it better than Matt O'Brien at Xcessive Performance - 02 6762 5711 - A real nice guy and top shelf work.

Thanks again for the tips ...

Billishere :)

Hi guys,

Anyone know where i can get my hands on an R32 GTR water pump in canberra? Keen to get it ASAP, either standard or N1. As if i'm not already in enough debt, damn it! Sorry not quite sure if this is the right place for posting parts equiries.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. just post reply here or [email protected]

Thanks

- Leon

Billishere, i ended up taking mine to Integra. Originally it was stock and Ed there took great care of it, could never fault their service. Since then i've had a few modifications performed there and had it tuned on the dyno. I've been extremely happy overall.

OzLeroy, try the wanted to buy forum, might get more luck there.

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
