I do get all of my work done at PERFORMANCE GARAGE in phillip by danny he knows his cars thats for sure no job too big or too small, servicing to engine conversions.

have to agree, Danny has done a fair bit of work on my 200 and he's always helpful, honest and very competively priced.

Highly recomend: 0437603885

While I'm replacing my Turbo and putting my Clutch & Brake pedal in I decided to do a bit of maintenance work on the old RB25. While pulling the intake piping apart, I've managed to split quite a few hoses both for oil and intake. Who knows a good place to go to get replacement pipes & so on? I know autobarn have some silicon hoses for the intake, but I was thinking more for the oil lines. Otherwise I'll just go to Nissan and get the factory ones.

do you know the address at all? can't seem to find them online or in the yellow pages..

I know I sound like a broken record at times on here - But i can't recommend Marc, Stewie and the boys down at Belconnen Discount Tyre Service enough. Sure my car isn't on time - but they get things done properly and keep me informed all the way.

Seriously.

I'd recommend them for anything upto performance tuning/turbo work - even then, i'd probably give them a go.

I concur, they're doing my gearbox conversion for me. It's a bit of a tricky swap but they're still willing to give it a go. It helps that Marc has a manual Stagea already to compare with.

Thx for the tip about Goodyear tyres in Belco, have taken the car there before, but didn't know they specialised in servicing imports to. Very happy with their other work, so may book in the car to get servicing done, as im on the northside as well.

Well the owner has had 2 Stageas now and also an ATESSA Bluebird. I don't know if they specialise in them, but they're certainly getting to know them.

The boys are starting to know them, quite a few skylines are going through there.

I've been looking for a good deal on Turbos for my GTR, so I called COOMA DIESEL and unfortunately had to talk to a very rude, sarcastic woman who not only wouldn't give me even a $50 discount on 2 X $1,500 turbos, but wouldn't even TELL ME WHAT THE PART WAS!!!! unless I agreed to purchase them. I would definately recommend that everyone on this forum stay away from this place.

If anyone knows where to get a good deal on turbos I would love to know. I'm looking for ones around the 300-350 hp mark.

Sadly over the weekend i put a nice big scratch and took a chunk of paint off my front bar and decided it was time to get it resprayed (paint is crackling at the top of it etc... needs some TLC.) i'm not looking to do the whole car, just the bar. Anyone know of a good place to take it?

whatever your decision is DO NOT go to a place in Fyshwick that starts with N, contains a part of it's name that you put in your hair and is 6 letters long... I only just realised that in certain sunlight the bit's I had re-sprayed didn’t even look black almost a grey

    • The incentives are mostly the same, yes. Ethanol is cheap compared to the cost of doing 98-100 RON with crude oil alone. 87 to 93-94 AKI all with E10. In 2020 Canada mandated E10 as a part of their "renewable fuel standard" and is supposedly going to go to E15 in 2030. In California where there are only 8 refineries with two threatening to shut down next year it's been over 20 years now of E10 and 91 AKI maximum because there's just not enough refinery capacity or crude oil supply relative to the demand for premium unleaded fuel. And CARB's low carbon fuel standard means functionally none of the diesel available at the pump is made from crude oil anymore. It's almost all entirely 20% biodiesel blended with 80% renewable diesel (hydrotreated vegetable oil) now. The number of gasoline vehicles that support E15 or higher ethanol concentrations is surprisingly low, I can't imagine it being wise to play tricks like this without flex fuel sensors in most of the fleet.
    • It's almost certainly the same as the one next to it. • South Australia, which is hardly as far behind as the rest pf Oz makes out, and who is also not a paragon of progressiveness (read that as over-legislation) in the area of vehicle standards, has this to say on the subject: Adjustable coil-over suspension Aftermarket adjustable coil-over suspension components are suspension units that incorporate an external thread on the main body and corresponding threaded spring saddle that allows the vehicle's suspension height to be varied. If fitting aftermarket or coil-over suspension components you must submit an Application to modify a light motor vehicle form and a report from a light vehicle engineering signatory (LVES).
    • Hi all, Long time since I've posted here. Looking for some advice on what I can remove to further identify the cause of my issues.  I can move the passenger seat forward and back but the knob used to adjust the seat angle is pretty much free spinning, there's very little resistance.  Removing the side cover I can see that the chain is intact but the shaft for the adjustment spins without the gear attached to it moving.  What's my next step for disassembly here? Is this a common fault? Just being a little cautious as I didn't want to start removing bolts for a spring to fly out or something equally as stupid.  Cheers
    • Those above shitboxes, mediocre and above usually have a turbo strapped to them, hence the slightly higher octane is required.
