Your engine is still basically a standard LS1 with a mafless tune and exhaust isn't it?

It's got a fairly big cam in it (and associated valve train gear) but she's still on stock heads and bottom end :) (makes just under 270rwkw). Being on the little 235 street tires there wasn't a lot of grip, was leaving from basically idle trying not to get it to spin, would of loved to of had a set of et streets on it and see what it could really do but just didn't have the spare cash sitting there :(.

Here's another for comparison lol

yer that run against you was terrible man red light, turned tire on the change to second and threw it into forth too early, your Gtr had me nervous lol.

So as a lot of you know I've wanted MR 33s (#SCR48) rear drag wing set up for a while now and over the weekend it came up for sale and I ended up finally getting my hands on it :)

Just went for a little run up and down the highway, new setup gets lots of attention but so far it's all been the good kind (not the blue and red flashing lights kind :) )

    • I see those two Stageas have the "punched 40mm hole" deregistered Japanese number plates 👍 Nice kouki group shot with the different colours too.
    • Ended up just being a loose exhaust bolt luckily.
    • Yeah I made that post way too early, sorry I must have assumed it was bad because it's a 20+ year old thrashed shitbox lol. It was just a loose exhaust bolt.
    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
    • I don't understand what the issue is with, turn the boost down and start saving $$.  As soon as you can afford the supporting mods, turn the boost back up.  If the car is running fine, enjoy it. Turning the boost down isn't going to kill you.
