I have a GREAT MMO.

It's called life.
That's been interesting for the last month or so.
And I am using money that I can spend on real things instead of digital currency that doesn't do anything.

/that being said - still addicted to EVE

Not sure if making joke or just being a wanker lol, but in absolute seriousness the money I spent on my WoW subscription while I was hooked was SIGNIFICANTLY less than what I spend in place of that subscription...this might not make sense, but WoW filled that "consumer urge" hole that just about everyone inherently has, so without it I end up spending money on more useless shit to satisfy myself, which generally adds up to hundreds of dollars each month rather than $15 LOL

Ah if you like FPS try Planetside 2.

Huge Mmo FPS game where 3 different "factions" fight for territory in futuristic world.

Great to play with mates, think Battlefield but on a mega gigantic maps!

Con- Massive install like 8 gig through steam, and lots of updates for a newby player to download b4 being able to play.

Must have steam to play.

Pro's- Plenty of action, squad based fighting, Massive servers. Good ping for ausies.

Another big one if you love WOW is DOTA2

Only been playing a few months and totally addicted.

Free to play through steam :) get 4 mates together and you have a team. Heaps of heros to choose and learn how to play.

Hours and hours of fun. Each game takes about an hour. Plenty of fun.

Had the game abut a month and a half already have about 50 hours of gameplay :)

Yep, as soon as my new laptop turns up (hopefully tomorrow), I'll be getting my hands on Planetside 2 immediately!

Planetside 2 is AWESOME.

Nah, I play games to prevent me going shopping with the girlfriend, and going out and spending money uselessly.

Gotta save for my nugget in the garage,

"Spending money uselessly" and "girlfriend" in the same sentence...you my friend are wise as f**k ;)

The download size was putting me off planetside 2. But now that Im with internode and can download through steam, un-metered usage here we come!

I've got a 600GB/month limit. Not too concerned about a measly game :P

I'm not sure who we're with, I think it's Internode. No latency problems that I've noticed, no bandwidth problems during peak...can't complain. We do manage to cap ourselves for the last day every month though LOL

been trying for the past few days to log into Planetside 2. had an account from the beta (which I never played), incorrect login details. create a new account, incorrect log in details. :| ill just go do something else then...

Recently got an email from Rift saying it was free to play. Tried for a bit, was okay, but does not compete with WoW.

Quit WoW for a half a year now, hopefully for good this time lol. Wasted way too much time on that game, especially being in a hardcore raiding guild... 16 hours attemping a boss fight which we eventually downed :( (Sinestra for those that know, bare in mind it was done a week after firelands release).

Enjoying a new game called real life at the moment LOL.

Hahahaha.

I know how you feel about the WoW quitting mate, its harder than it sounds.

Ive had my phases too.

I was completely, purely and utterly addicted during BC, and I am so happy I was as it was an amazingly rewarding game back then. I raided weekly and enjoyed alot of evil world pvp and imo it was the funnest days of WoW. Nothing quite like doing kara once a week with my guildies. I am in the same guild to this day.

I was hacked days after I dinged 80 in WotLK and got the shits and quit until weeks before Cata came out.

Came back to Cata and played it semi-casually but had given up on raiding and series pve in general and began life as a pvp-er.

Semi-casual pvp throughout cata, and quit for a few months but my friend bet me $100 that I could have a lvl 85 of each class in 365 days... so I began again. I could have easily done this in a month or two if I no-lifed but real life got the hold on me and I failed at this bet hahahahah, I managed to get an 85 rogue, druid, DK, shaman and hunter, the others were all 58ish on the final day in Hellfire.

Currently playing on a very casual basis, I only do battlegrounds these days as arenas really bring out an anger in me that i dont really like lol. I think of it as 50cents per day, even if im not playing Its such a tiny amount I dont care lol. I go on once or so a week and do some BGs with my friends, but thats about it.

WoW isnt what it used to be, but Its impossible to quit...

Theres my wow life story as Ive had way to much caffeine and its 4am and cannot sleep :P

Couldn't agree more with you about BC being the best expansion. Everything from the gameplay to the gear/content design puts the other expansion to shame.

IMO WoTLK was where it went downhill :(..

Gear started looking plain and DK's ruined pvp lol. Never really raided properly until Cata so I don't have an opinion about the PVE side of things.

I was basically doing what you were before I quit, casually PVP'd and talk shit in guild and with friends (Yes I have friends :P)

Would actually consider playing again if there was a server set up just for BC.

  • 2 months later...

Stopped playing Planetside 2 early August and only just noticed that theyd been taking my money at the end of every month. bastards. I usually pickup on those default tickboxes with automatic subscriptions, but I think this one is automatic through their Terms & Conditions. f**king dream boats.

    • I mean it's a bit late to say "This won't have any tangible effect and it is not worth spending more than about three seconds on it, please just enjoy the car" But I said it anyway. Does the pod actually get any airflow in that position behind a bumper like that?
    • Hey guys - apologies for digging this up. Has this website been shutdown or is the outage temporary?
    • So, went shopping at Just Jap for things that might work for the intake  After some trial fitting there I ended up with a 3" x 45° silicone bend, a 3" x 300mm alloy straight, and a humped joiner, some minor trimming will be required to shorten some of the stuff, but nothing that is beyond my "ham fisted" skills The guy at Just Jap was most helpful as we had all sorts of joiners,  bends and stuff out trial fitting  Laying it out above the stuff in there it seems everything will fit nicely, and looking at it, it is probably the way I should have been looking at doing it from the beginning, probably..... In the end it is a front bar off job anyway to remove the original stuff behind the front bar that is taking up the required realestate needed, so maybe a Thursday or Friday job And because I'm a hopeless consumer, I grabbed some new steel wheel nuts, the current ones are a spline drive type with a "security" socket, that somehow someone keeps misplacing, the new ones are a basic black steel 17mm hex socket In other news: I just did my "final" tax return, I am now officially a old retired veteran pensioner, and I'm milking the system for all it's worth,  life is good
    • I hadn't thought about the variable power steering assist. Presumably, it will always be the same level of assist as you get in an S14. The R32/3/4 are either helliishly heavy (at low speeds) if the solenoid is not powered at all, or hellishly too light (at high speed) if it is powered all the time. I presume that it is PWM controlled on those cars. I hadn't thought about the S cars not having variable assist. ugh. What crappy plebby cars they must be!
    • Hmm yeah that is a good point. It looks like it'll just bolt in with no real issue besides maybe the bushings being different. My other concern was that 2 pin plug that I assume is used in some way to control the rack solenoid depending on the speed signal from the ecu. The DMAX rack doesn't even have that plug though so, don't think it'll matter. Might just order the rack and see how it goes. Will update this when I figure something out
