Brett_J
My 34 has the shit auto optioned diff that chicken wings the minute you turn a corner, will the 33 lsd Centre go in the 34 housing, or am I stuck looking for a 34 lsd? GTSBoy
They're all basically the same. I have an S15 centre that came out of an S14 housing with a crownwheel an pinion from an R34 VLSD all assembled into an R32 housing, with 6 bolt S chassis half shafts. There are a few traps here and there. ABS sensors tend to move around a bit, Helicals don't use teh same length half shafts as the other diffs do. There are VERY few R34 helicals out there. I couldn't find anyone wrecking a car with one when I was looking. Every manual turbo r34 has a helical diff Unless of course it has been change Edited May 24, 2013 by Marcus89 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/424767-interchangeability-of-skyline-diff-centres/#findComment-6864256 Share on other sites
GTSBoy
Not true. I bought one out of a manual R34 GTT. It was the correct ratio. And it was viscous. The majority of them were in fact viscous. Only a small # appear to have gotten the helical. If you look in the R34 GTT brochures there is mention of a helical diff, but I think that was only for one series.
