Rb25Det Neo Oil

Hey guys,

This must have been covered before but I can't find it anywhere. I'm about to do a oil change on the Stag. It's got an rb25det neo out of a R34 in it. What weight oil is recommended? I'm in New Zealand so the climate is obviously a little cooler than some of you chaps over the ditch.

5W40 or 10W40 would do you fine, Nissan recommended a 7.5W40 for Japan which gets a lot colder than NZ.

+1 for 10w40

i run that down here in tassie, goes well over winter, but you could also consider a 10w30, 0w40 or maybe even a 0w30 if you think it gets cold enough for it

brand wise, i've been using gulf western synx 3000 for a while and its pretty good for the price you pay

I have been using Agip 5W 40 fully synthetic on road and track with good results:
