no ships?

sounds good. but only rifles? i've had enough of rifles.

could be other shit. not sure. ill prob head down.... parking is pretty hektik so go early.

pretty sure they will have a bar too.

if they dont they arent military.

The Flinders Cerberus display used to show the deck guns firing, big guns that made bigger noise. I used to be able to hear the 4.5 inch turret from over 20k's away.

They would fire multiple Bofors, 40mm AA gun, the 4.5 inch deck gun emplacement, and my favourite, the 50 cal, due to me standing only a few feet away with cartridges flying around my feet. I loved that shit, I bet it's too dangerous these days in our bubble wrap society.

Quite often they had to temporarily stop firing, due to fishing boats putting into the firing range, as they were shooting at a floating target. Also the AA and 50 cal would fire at a Cessna towing a target, you would have to be mad to fly that plane. Fond memory's. :)

NCO mess ftw.

im down to clown.

It would have been 25 years ago.

I assume our ships still have those antique guns strapped to the deck though, and the Navy boys need somewhere to train before they go out and shoot at all those dangerous floating containers... :)

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the replies as far as I know it will be the same as last open day, the wets will be open for a demo (trainee bosuns will be conducting that) and the will be a parade with blanks fired, but that's about it as far as I know.

If you are going to come aboard with your car just pm me your name and rego so we can organize passes early!

Cheers

Sam

I remember about 13-14 years ago when I last went down to HMAS Cerberus they were still doing the live fire demonstrations. As a kid it was totally awesome watch them shoot stuff and blow things up :)

Their just looking for some fresh meat. Slap those steel jocks on before you get there ;)

Saying that I used to got there as a kid. Still remember the helicopter demo. Plus when we go fishing in Western Port you see ships there regularly. The sub is cool.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
