This must be with the Motec system and a stand alone fuel management system?

t4 turbo dominic, direct port nitrous injection

saw a 20 dyno plot making 370kw, it's gonna need 100,000 clutch kicks to rip a skid too

It can be done, it just depends on how much of the RB20 you want use

If want want the use 20 piston rods crank block and head then no your shit outta luck

But if your happy to swap them for say 30 block crank pistons and rods and a 26 head then yeah 1100 hp from a RB20 is easy done

Thanks, I was thinking everything forged and rev over 10K

OP, have you considered swapping to an RB25/RB26?

These are better.

Why not swap to an RB25/RB26?

RB25/RB26 would be better at these power levels. I think you should do it. I hope I was able to suggest this to you before you went ahead with the RB20, because RB25/RB26 are better. At these power levels.

Or buy an R32 GTR.

In all seriousness we are talking 1000hp... I believe that to be a power figure that requires an experienced engine builder to produce an engine. That being said I also do not think it matters what modern engine you start with... To get it to 1000hp would probably be a similar amount of work regardless.

Therefore OP should take his RB20 to an experienced engine builder and ask them to produce a 1000hp engine capable of over 10,000rpm. Then OP will simply need the manifolds and a turbo to suit.

$100,000.00 later and it will rip good skids.

So all parts rebuild even the sleeves?

I am looking at 50,000$ AUD for this build. I guess Aussie is more expensive than here?

What will I need. I guess

all cnc engine parts

huge turbo,

2000cc injectors

5 fuel pumps

swirl pot

Fuel pressure reg.

R34 GTR gearbox.

Strengthened driveshafts

sticky tyres

ECU

Knock amp

On all replies:

Please no BS again this is serious.

Better make it 7 fuel pumps. Just to be safe. Maybe 8. You can never have too many fuel pumps. If you run enough fuel pumps, you won't need the fuel pressure reg. They'll regulate each other. Like a team.

Thanks again. I thought this was a nice forum to ask about tech. info on skylines but, as usual the jealousy, hate as always.

If you are pushing this much power, I'd suggest making sure your panel gaps are exactly factory spec. Talk to this guy, he can help. Can't recommend him enough for gap talk

f*kcing benji.

I suggest you look in here for some inspiration.

$50k might get you the crank....?

You'll need a more sizeable budget to achieve your very rigid specific goal.

This is a nice forum to ask about tech...

In terms of your request, it is an unknown and defies logic on many levels, hence your replies.

We do get a lot of entertaining ideas but a lot are from school kids with nothing better to do, in this case you asked a question and got many answers! None of which are useful but we hope you enjoyed your stay and got some entertainment from it!

No no no no, you're mistaking us with Nissansilvia.com. This is a HORRIBLE place to ask questions about Skylines. Awesome place to SEARCH and RESEARCH though...

Been quoted already at the cnc shop for these and they said 30K Euro for all this spec.

100K is a bit crazy because that would a 1000hp R35 GTR go here for all the parts.

Anyway different country diffrent pricing.

What are you trying to achieve? I mean as in WHY are you spending so much on the 2L engine?

O.o seems here also a lot of school kids and dreamers lol. As usual.

Thanks both.

Highest hp on a rb20det. Builder agreed with me that I need all cnc parts.

Hmmm maybe people with more realistic goals... How did you pull the 800kw figure out?

1000hp right?

I have seen some 800hp rb20det already around.

e30K is $44k aus.

now calculate redability of parts, shipping costs, real currency value you are pushing it to the very least $120k AUD.

labour

tax

aussie car dream boats who over charge on EVERYTHING

now, we are in the $200k AUD mark already.

Fair enough! If you manage to do it then post a build thread so we can all admire and STFU :P

I know if you do manage to pull it off ill be the first to say congrats!

    • Not really, but the heater box is pretty simple mechanically....if the door is one way the air bypasses the heater core and if it is the other way it goes through it for warm air.  If you are sure the actuator you moved manually is for the heater mix (there would also be one for output air direction) then I'd take the heater box out and see what is happening (you'll have to regass and re-coolant the systems afterwards) BTW pp724 onwards from the GTR workshop manual cover the system in good detail, it is probably worth checking. I think the IAT sensor might be a problem electrically for getting cold (if you got 24 error code not -24 it thinks the incoming air is -50c) and it covers how to test the sensor (although most likely it is either not plugged in or a wire is damaged)

    • You'd really have to pull it apart further to know, it least you can be confident that the one heading to the back is not connected any more. There was once a ground on the shifter seal mount too, your head unit issue could be that simple
