Hi Guys,

So of late I've started thinking of selling the skyline as I'm looking for a ute.

Wondering what sort of money I could be chasing?

Car has been serviced religiously and mods have all been done professionally done.

It runs perfectly and the only reason for the sale is I want a ute

Car is:

R33 S2 skyline Silver body in perfect condition

30x xxx kms

5 spoke 18inch mags

GCG Hi Flow Turbo

TRUST turbo back exhaust

Coilovers

Heavy Duty clutch

Running safely on 11psi and dyno'd at 226rkw (turbo can handle a lot more)

Any thoughts on what I should be asking for would be appreciated.

I'll work on finding some pictures!

haha yep!!! I was wondering whether to leave that off.

even when I had the hi-flow done the guys didn't believe it had that many k's and went how it does!

The k's are mostly mine as its my daily driver - always serviced every 5000 and has had its timing belts, etc.

I bought my clean one for just under 9k that was with a roadworthy and extensive major service done 6months proir to purchase. Bought @ 108,00ks

I reckon maybe 8k on car sales if you provided a compresison test for the engine and drivetrain is reasonable.

Also has the 300,000k service been done?

thanks for the feedback guys :)

I'll see what the trade in offers are like - its a shame about the km's as it looks like it will impact the price big time.

I've got my heart set on a ute now!

Yep all services done.

I've always made sure that when something wore out (shocks, clutch, turbo, etc) that I tried to do things right.

GCG turbo is 12 months old (over 2 grand), clutch is 18 months old (2 grand) coilovers about 24 months (2 grand) etc, etc

Happy to hear any more comments - ill have a look at what else is out there and what they are going for see if I can price it accordingly. It drives great but I do understand about the kms!

Thanks!

Chuck up some pics and get a rough idea on what you could trade it in for, then add a bit onto that and see what bites :) if it was a bit more average condition with those kms, I'd consider snapping it up to thrash it lol...but that's just me :P

most caryards willnt trade it (import). including mine! i have a a 2006 vz thunder ute with 130km imaculate inside and out AT (v6) white hardcover if you sell your car. one owner got 15990 on it you can have it for 14,000

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
