It is the slippy sly way. :/

Hell, I have a spare Dash Cluster with 100,000ks on it and I have 200,000 on the one in the car.

Even swapping it over within my ownership doesn't feel right to me, let alone pulling a shifty for a sale.

Dont judge a book by its cover this cars drives betteter than some 33 with 100kms smooth as a babys butt! ive driven this car k sport coilovers, and all the right basic mods done by the man himself john from Trojan, esp fitted the highflow turbo, original matts no marks on the roof linning etc the car has original paint exept for bonnet and spoiler! straight tidy, boost comes on nicely tuned to 220 watts esp were very impressed with the out put! (no blow back) serviced accordingly very important hence its awesome condition! compression test would prove this car!

and also the guy selling the car is a top bloke all you have to do is meet him and his car to find out

Hi Guys,

So of late I've started thinking of selling the skyline as I'm looking for a ute.

Wondering what sort of money I could be chasing?

Car has been serviced religiously and mods have all been done professionally done.

It runs perfectly and the only reason for the sale is I want a ute

Car is:

R33 S2 skyline Silver body in perfect condition

30x xxx kms

5 spoke 18inch mags

GCG Hi Flow Turbo

TRUST turbo back exhaust

Coilovers

Heavy Duty clutch

Running safely on 11psi and dyno'd at 226rkw (turbo can handle a lot more)

Any thoughts on what I should be asking for would be appreciated.

I'll work on finding some pictures!

Thanks Angus!!!!

Appreciate the advice and help! Will be coming to you for my ute!

I've added an image of the Dyno sheet after ESP did the turbo. Its doing 225rkw on 11psi.

just a note that I'm the 2nd aus owner of this car and I bought it when it had just over 100k so I put the 200k on it.

All the work that has been done has receipts from Trojan / ESP, etc

I'm not in any rush but by the same token if I sold it quickly id be happy :)

300,000 is a lot of k's. You could probably get between 5-8k for it, if everything is in good working order. Difficult to say without looking at it and it also depends on the buyer. They might not be that attentive and just see the 225kw car.

Did a dealer give you a trade in price?

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
