no, buy MY car stuff!

Not stuff for my car, the stuff I am selling ;)

You need some big ass brakes to slow up that fat 33 with all them v8 torques :)

On that note, I have a question regarding "power and street cars"...

I currently have ~270rwkw (264rwkw through a stalled auto) amd running 235 rear tires with a bit of stretch (they're on a 9" rim) I feel as though the average joe dickhead would crash very quickly if told to get behind the wheel.

But then I see some of you guys running well into the 300rwkw zone and thinking the cars are slugs, I don't understand. Even with my power my car feels very quick and very loose on the street

V8, NA Tourqes. You pull from all the way down in the range, high power FI cars have to be on boost. Makes your car seem faster according to the seat of your pants dyno.

Example, Martins car has similar power to Dylan's SLK55 AMG. I've been in both at full noise. Dylans feels faster, but its actually not.

Hmm I guess, mines pretty doughy off cam ie anything under 4k... Although I spin the sum bitch up 7k now so yeah. But coming onto the highway at from 60 if I tramp first and ratchet second it basically powerskids around the shop easily to 100.

But what im getting at is people around the place claim there bulk hp cars are "streetable" yet I can't see how it's possible... Some insight from a guy/girl with a big powah street car is appreciated

Do I count? I've currently just put my 235's back on the rear of mine and they are 18x9.5. 600hp and driven on the street, it gets a little wild on WOT, but fine if you feather it into boost..

Depends how you define streetable.

People will change how they define it for themselves meaning that people will claim almost anything is streetable. And honestly, its horses for courses anyway, so if they like it props to them.

Dan said to me that 250kw was his ideal for daily driver and anything over 300 was stupid for the street. And he kind of knows how to build a car.

This is kinda the thinking lines I'm along, don't get me wrong is love to have be power I just don't know the practicalities of it

I guess it all depends on the setups, mine is a single plate clutch and is easy to drive on the street and around town

Like sneaky Pete said though. Everyone has there own thoughts of streetable

    • What are you thinking makes a sequential shit to drive on the street? About the ONLY thing I can think of, is if you're wanting to be able to roll up to lights in third or second and pop it straight into neutral, or you want to come down two or three gears, say out of 5th and back to second, but they shift quick enough it doesn't really matter
    • I'm not a drag racing guy, but that was a good watch. Didn't Ibrahim's car have some cooch! But the big question is....WTF is with so many of them running without seatbelts!
    • Sequential Is fine to drive on the street
    • Well that is not a sign of good quality..  Understand, but not so nice to drive on the street I suppose and out of my price range..
    • I recently got myself a 1989 r32 GT-R and it has some slight smokiness from the exhaust and misfires sometimes when coming off the throttle. I'm looking for a good mechanic in the Brisbane region who will do a good job on it. It'll need a diagnosis, and most likely an engine rebuild with refurb/stock parts (not looking for a motorsport build... yet). If anyone has done something like this before/knows stuff about this in terms of who can do it and how much it cost, I'd like to hear about it. I was looking on the forum and I found some posts from 2020 that were similar to this, but it has been a while since then so if anyone has any updated info that would be great.  I'm also new to the forum so if this topic should be in a different place please let me know. Thanks in advance!
