Turbo in yet?

Also, I'd prefer aero front from the series 1, I reckon they look much better. Plus foggies?

pay for scotties fees and it will be hahaha. Soon bro, soon. Good things come for those who wait......

I have two stagea wrecks, what parts would I need from you Matt? I'm not putting PNM parts on the old girl. :P

JD's are much better than BJ's. ;)

Awww :( Ok we'll just stick to cash. Clearly my BJs are no good. They really aren't I need to change them :P

I'll pay Scotty in parts, like BJs I hear they go down real well with the NM35 boys :P

Maybe craig. What do you PNM drivers do, get a murano brochure and go for a circle jerk? ;-)

LOL, ganna steal a Craigism, you're my favorite flatcapper :P.

Done.

Challenge accepted. See you there hopefully next year.

I'd put my money on the V35 Alex. Unless of cause Matt build's the motor.

400kg's and less loss of HP through the driveline! It will need LSD though.

:( No faith.

I have faith.....Alex only ran a 13.8.......Rudi is running 14 flat on a standard turbo!

I'm sure if I can get it not to light up Mark will do better that a 14 dead standard with an emanage tune!!

P.S. Only issue is Mark!!!! drives like a p$%ssy

Alex did the runs in rwd didn't he?

Yep.

So 2.2 second 60 foot time.

Awd launch with boost will shave 0.4 seconds off that easy.

V35 with too much neg camber and a commo spec diff will never get off the line...

Edit: But it will make all the honda drivers jizzz.

Already has VLSD craig. Also yeah i do drive like a pussy i will not argue with that.

Alex im not saying that what matt is doing to the 3.5lt is crap and what you have done is crap. What i meant by "done" was it will be a interesting day when it does happen.

Also matt. I'll see you whenever it gets done in and running well. Just remember your putting a turbo on a VQ35DE which (not being slack or downplaying what you are doing) has been done and proven. This hasnt and will take time.

It will be interesting that's for sure.

Do yourself a favour, adjust the camber out the rear, set the shocks soft all round and get some sticky tyres. That will give you the best odds.

But, there is a long road to go down before you line up.

A long long road indeed. The list of things to do is just.....you cant imagine. Go over show. Function and form to play equal roles

So.... Is the VQ25det in yet?? :P

Don't think I don't understand it will take time, it's a project and that's what they do. I'm just hoping that I'll complete my install next year and put a time down, so you can try and beat it xD. Which is what I meant by challenge accepted :D.

Don't listen to Alex! MOAR CAMBER AND HARDNESS FOR WINZ!!! Remember Rake loves it.

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
