R32 Gtr Urgent Help Needed

hi all, ive been lerking around for a while now.

now i know what your all going to say, but to be honest no care is given,

now my r32 gtr had a hicas lock out bar fitted at the start of the year, car has sat around last 5 months in pieces got it all back together now, though im still having the same problem, the hicas light in the cluster flashes, theres no pattern the flashing just does it all the god damn time, and whilst its flashing and the car is stationary,ie, at traffic lights, you can hear a knock from underneath the car, and if you turn the wheel slightly it wil move the steeing wheel back and fowards, and you cant stop it, its only a slight bit, but still a pain.

also whilst it flashes its lioke theres no power steering, now ive researched the forums but havnt come accross someone with similar story regarding the knock and flashin, i did find on goolge though, that to remove hicas correctly you should remove rear line, front n rear hicas solinois, and cut in to power steering lines and fit new hoses redirecting the lines to stay up the front of the car, although the such topic, was performed on a r32 gtst, now having a gtr there is no where near the same amount of room in the bay to access solinoids, lines etc, somebody please help fix this god damn problem,

thanks in advanced. and no need for know it all smart ass's. cheers guys

Take apart the HICAS computer and look for the loose screw.

Seriously, it was an official service bulletin that was in the Australian R32 GTR service manual.

So that's what the rattling was in the computer I threw away.

OP, quickest fix is to unplug the smaller of the two plugs on the HICAS computer.

I have done the mod u described in my 32R, pretty much same thing, ditched front and rear solenoids and associated pipes, de-pinned the green wire from smaller of the Hicas plug that trigger the cluster light

Sorry to hear bout ur issues, have u isolated what's knocking., u welcome to try my Hicas ecu though I'm near parra

sorry for delayed reply, havnt been on in a while. i have nothing to update, as im going to get a small cooler and ditch the orginal cooling lines, solenoids and unused lines, and ill have to check the ecu to see if anything has been done, i would assume though that it should be done as i had lockout bar fitted from a well known workshop whilst getting other work done at the time,

thanks mate, ill see how it all goes once ive completed everything. and yes it has an aftermarket s/wheel was already fitted before i purchased the car.

i just wanted to see if anyone had experienced the same problem

    • To be Frank (always liked that name), I reckon this is a better idea. I'm an R32 man from day 1 and the really good surviving examples that are still in stock form should stay that way. Let ye conscience guide you my son 🙂
    • Serious answer: The Japanese call them "HCR32純正アルミホイール" (HCR32 Junsei arumi wheel). https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=9781a9b17bdb0a90&q=HCR32純正アルミホイール&uds=ADvngMi969x8VO53s3Ns6zY_q0mz1wQSG62T0CP-XYz351Bz4k-UlCLmEIs3_DOvTIrJbtR53zUINohMWufGSNcE7u-Sy3WX5TUjyDJHK7ocoDfeYw5W1tSwzUlYREw7kf4AsG4TMceIn7jdSxdsPXSr015SPQ0N4d0VoByGkenzSrAe8dyXSHA-cFV7LpaAVKCIPCKphRBK4ExnPj5Wp8Ymbl6ZrzN4uV9O1oqNcySxxJLogfY6FULbGlMPmheHkf5T89XXkWHUmA-Kn76muIhfC4LNQ0WaaP4QrndS6u2ovf8NUIsYJ7oFJ81Is4MDHNu_WMQr5vRcNCw-OO7NiSgP3rP02XVontjydtRrPYYnhoyPrwFoPHU&udm=2&prmd=isvnmbtz&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjYlNzYxcuGAxW72DQHHb8ODIAQtKgLegQIDhAB&biw=1920&bih=911&dpr=1 The English name for them would be "(insert model name) genuine wheels"?  As a side note, they fit perfectly on 1st and 2nd gen Suzuki Swift Sports: https://www.google.com/search?q=HCR32純正アルミホイール+スズキスイフト&sca_esv=9781a9b17bdb0a90&udm=2&biw=1920&bih=911&ei=aBBkZsT2KMS60-kP8IGZwAE&ved=0ahUKEwjEyoTbxcuGAxVE3TQHHfBABhgQ4dUDCBA&uact=5&oq=HCR32純正アルミホイール+スズキスイフト&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiNkhDUjMy57SU5q2j44Ki44Or44Of44Ob44Kk44O844OrIOOCueOCuuOCreOCueOCpOODleODiEjCXFCgA1iiWHALeACQAQCYAYkBoAHzDaoBBDE4LjK4AQPIAQD4AQGYAgCgAgCYAwCIBgGSBwCgB_wH&sclient=gws-wiz-serp
    • Took a little trip  went to nismo hoping the get my fuel tank hoses and unfortunately they told me they didn’t have stock luckily I was able to go to a Nissan parts store and they were able to order them in for me  then can home and cleaned the tank with some degreaser and fitted the new hoses before putting it back in the car
    • 100% I’ll hack into the 33. Strap a turbo onto the RB25DE and/or put the 25 head on a 30 block. 33 passed in cos the reserve was too high. I’ll try lowballing it again and negotiate. Aim is to have it landed and on the road for under 15k, then spend the same amount on top in mods.
