Had same problem as u, went to ferntree gully, they couldnt do it, went to glen waverly couldnt do it, called up infiniti wouldnt even talk about after market cars.

Finally went back to the actual importer and they already had my key there waiting....

Guys you need the PIN and Consult III, can only get the PIN via Niscom, unlike a V35 for example where the code is on the BCM

That's good news then. So the 4-digits stamped in a little metal plate that came with my keys from Japan must be my PIN code. Guess I don't have to get the Immobiliser card for my Consult 3+ after all.

In which case, what is the Immobiliser card for then? For replacing a faulty BCM with a new one or am I completely off track?

did they make a new key? if yes, can they do another key?

nah the person who bought the car off the importer just didnt go back to get the 2nd key, so he had the 2nd key waiting at the importer, but i did ask the importer guy if i need another one, can i go to him and he said yes, but he does seem abit dodgy to be honest lol.
While trying to get it sorted, Nissan japan did contact Nissan Australia customer service(over the phone) and apparently i can get the key coded, but I need to let the customer service people know first so they can "assist" in the dealer in getting the key coded, and what i was told by nissan glen waverley and ferntree gully is a 20digit pin code, which keeps changing everytime u log back into the Consult software...

Challenged my luck today with Burwood Nissan. Although guys were friendly and willing to help, they couldn't program the key. What I was told, they tried the K13 and Z34 programs and found those only accept 5-digit codes, whereas the car was requesting the 20-digit code, so even if they knew the key, they couldn't type it.

Any ideas (other than driving to Adelaide) appreciated.

So restarting an old thread...

So basically you need a consult3 like this

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281266331553?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

and the NATS stuff like this

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111259157910?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

and a new or could it be a used key? Would this one work?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/171288573726?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

And you should be good to go? Or am I missing out a whole heap of extra steps?

Just got an email follow up to some of the enquiries I have been making..

One of them has bought the software he thinks he needs to get his consult 3 to program keys...

Will let you know how I get on...

Okay I found a guy in Melbourne who is willing to make the key and has the software but we could not get the PIN for the system. He has some Nissan PIN calculator which I seen in many locksmith shops around but the PIN it produces is not being accepted by the car. Does anyone know how to get the PIN for the car? I remember that for V35 PIN could be read from BCM directly using some smart software but not sure if it's true for V36.

Just got an email from Frank, he has his new PIN generator installed (needed to get an XP PC), and has generated what he thinks is the correct code for my car...

Hopefully I will have time to see him next week to try to get the key programmed...

Thanks for putting me onto Frank, while I haven't got my key done yet he is confident he can do it (and his yard is full of v36's so chances are he knows what he's talking about)

I need to get a new fob though, Frank offered to sell me an old one for 200 but given you can get infiniti ones for as little as 60 delivered from the states i figured there is a cheaper way. Does anyone know where to get them from?

I saw one ad from synergy motorsports for 185$

anyone?

thanks

I am not sure about Infiniti keys, they may or may not work.

I ordered these parts for my PV36 from Amayama, which I took from FAST according to my Frame No:

KEY Nissan H0564EG010

SWITCH Nissan 285E3JK05A

All for $110 including delivery.

Frank made this new key work with the car in no time.

    • Bah! I can't see the point in custom number plates at all. I went to the rego office, fished through a box of "premium" plates (the ones that had the "not as tall" option for the front plate) and picked the one that had a 32 in it. That's the limit of the effort and cost I will put into number plates. The only plate that I'd consider paying for would be 2332, but that's not possible here because it already exists from probably 90 years ago, and it would cost a fortune to obtain it, if it were available.
    • After chasing my tail with LS results..... and cheaper than a turbo swap... How confident are you that the dyno is accurate relative to other results? How fast is the car - What MPH does it actually run? Is this similar to what people running this power would expect?
    • Hi mate I am having an identical issue with my 98 R34 GTT. The engie suddenly cuts out under load at about 3-4k, black smoke out exhaust. Almost feels like traction control kicking in. No CEL but still going to check codes later today. Car was sitting in the shed for about 5 months before hand and only idled a few times, took her out with about 1/4 tank, filled up and thats when the issues started happening.  Threw on a spare set of coils/harness and checked plugs which was no help. Recently had fuel pump/filter changed so surely thats not the issue unless condensation in fuel, I just havent had the time to drain it It's running a hi flow turbo, bosch 1000cc injectors, walbro 450L, Z32, Nistune etc... All about 2000km old.
    • I always wonder where the obsession with legal/illegal spacing on number plates in the UK comes from. Because it comes up in comments in every UK-based video I see on youtube. From my point of view all of your plates look a bit odd. Just because there are no markings whatsoever. In Australia we have the state that has to be on it. In Europe you get stamps and state logos. Yours look a bit like a throwaway draft that people then stuck with. And attached with blu tack so that it falls off at the slightest disturbance. Not trying to hate, but it's interesting how things are done in different countries. Do you have to follow a lettering convention when choosing a custom plate?
    • Hybrid sounds like a supercharger... It's half a turbo, with a belt to drive it! Oh wait, they're just called super chargers...
