hey all just hoping to get a bit of advice as to how I should be fitting my sard adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I have been looking on google and through forums and haven't been able to find anyone who has installed one of these on a stagea.

so basically I was wondering if anybody has pictures of their set up or somebody elses on an rb25 neo motor, and maybe even one that's in a stagea.

any help is appreciated.

cheers, Michael

p.s I have already been advised to sell it and go nismo but that's not an option as I've spent too much already waiting on shipped items and need this done soon

this is the last mod I will be doing before I get a tune so yes I will be tuning it soon, I have a gauge so once I install it I was just going to adjust it to run standard pressure or slightly higher depending on hoe the car runs until I get it to the tuners.

there's an adapter that I have to fit in place of the original regulator then run a hose the the sard regulator, not sure where I can mount it where it will still be easily accessible.

and there are three parts that all look like the regulator I have to remove, and I don't have a workshop manual to verify which parts are which and i'd much rather not wing it

i'm going to fit it anyway seeing as I have already bought everything I need to fit it, just want to know if anyone has photos of their own set up or anything like that as I can't find any.

just finished fitting a return flow cooler this week so having trouble fitting anything isn't what i'm worried about, I just want to be sure I get it right

So that woukd be this on I marked with white out then? post-112770-13930333818117_thumb.jpg if that's what I am removing what fo I do with the hose that goes underneath the intake manifold? If I put the adapter in place of the reg there then that hose goes nowhere.

It really depends on the modifications as to whether an fpr is needed, correct? Like a different fuel rail?

Most old cars ran an fpr, is this because of the older tuning styles and software that were available?

The guy who imported my car in '07 told me his next step was using an fpr.

Stock FPR and fuel rail is good for at least 400kw so it should not be high on your list for replacement - it is not a performance mod.

Just to clarify the tuner didn't recommend the fpr I told him I had one and he said it would help with fuel pressure. Anyone want a sard fpr with fittings then? I'll call the tuner again tomorrow and give him an uo to date list of mods and see what he thinks.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
