Removing Nismo Twin Plate Clutch?

Recommended Posts

I've removed my engine from my car and want to put the engine on a stand - only thing is, I can't work out how to get the clutch off the back of the motor!

It's a Nismo twin plate. There are a series of hex bolts around the edge, do I remove those? I'm a bit scared to as it looks like they hold the whole thing together and I'm nervous it's all going to spring apart! I've tried just pulling on it but that doesnt seem to work either, do I need to be more forceful or is there something I am missing?

I've attached a photo for reference.post-4706-0-02457100-1400899120_thumb.jpg

Cheers

as above undo the hex bolts evenly, hold the pressure plate (red bit) when taking out the last bolt. You can then remove the 2 discs and centre disc (dont mix up the orientation) then your flywheel bolts will be visible to undo but good luck doing that on the crane without a rattle gun
