Was excellent! enjoyed all the free bee gooness of stickers and great info!. Video in the process of the intro. But unfortunately camers died half way through adams epic speech lol. Will post when done :)

I had to depart a little early but I can safely say I know a lot more about ECUs than I did before.

Thanks to all who contributed and Adam for hosting the event.

Thanks Adam for hosting another great and informative event and thanks to all of the manufacturers for taking the time to present their products. And thanks Terry for organising another awesome tech event!

Very informative Tech arvo indeed. Many thanks to Adam, the boys at JEM, all the ECU reps & SAU execs. It was very interesting to listen to all the reps & checking out the demo tables. And what an awesome goodies bag!

But that MoTeC M1..

Oh and BTW thanks to Adam and all the crew. And sorry to Matt Gtt for not saying bye to you and carmen. We were so hungry we ran off quick lol.

Fantastic day and ALOT learnt!
Thanks to Adam and everyone involved for speaking and giving so much information.

Really enjoyed having a chat to everyone.

The show bags are fantastic as well and slipped so much extra info in there.

Lastly thankyou to Terry for setting up yet another awesome Tech arvo :)

Definitely the best Tech Arvo I've been to so far!!

Many thanks to the execs for organising this one, but special thanks have to be given to Adam and all the Manufacturers who presented!! It was definitely appreciated greatly!! :)

I do apologise again for having to leave fairly promptly, as it was , I just made my flight by about 5 minutes!

If anyone wants to discuss any of the MoTeC products further, I am more than happy to do so on here, either through continuing this discussion or via PM's, the only area that I will not go into is pricing, as that is a discussion that needs to be done directly through one of our dealers.

No, we thank you Stephen for flying up from Melb to do a great presentation!

Here's the Motec Unit in my son's car > tuned really well by Adam. The Display Unit/Touch Screen (green) was placed in lieu of the ash tray.

He was quite sick on the day which is why he couldn't come and have a chat with you before you had to catch a plane back.

Oh and BTW thanks to Adam and all the crew. And sorry to Matt Gtt for not saying bye to you and carmen. We were so hungry we ran off quick lol.

Haha that is OK, we were stuffed by the time we got home! left home at 7am and got home just after 10pm...

Did anyone record the talk from MoTec?

Yes, Adam recorded all the speakers and will likely put them on his JEM Youtube page... Once he does i think we can post an ECU education thread and hopefully help people make their decisions easier, also hope it gives something back to the Manufacturers as they took a fair bit of time and effort with their presentations :)

Great behind-the-scenes wk there VP-Mat! Oh yes, and Carmen! :)

Trivia. There's always trivia. I went up to Stephen after the presentations catching him before he romped off to the airport. Noticing there were several Motec caps and Motec beanies on their table, I asked, "How much are you selling the headwear for?" Stephen replied, "Oh they're free! "

I looked back at the table and they were all gone! Lucky I was holding one!

Haltech did a great PR task too of supplying clothing f/s at special prices and cooking our lunches!

Sounds like it was a great event, so bummed I couldn't make it :(

I would liked to have heard some thoughts of my Syvecs S8 from the MoTec rep, a guy I know from the offroad racing scene is a MoTec rep here in Sydney ( Bill Croft - Unicap ) had not heard of them

Dammit I need a new beanie :D

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
