-FIGJAM-
C'mon guys, I think the mexicans deserve some real credit here: They've finally managed to just scrape through and get themselves a series win by the skin of their teeth, and it only took them 9 years of trying. Well done guys! If they keep playing football of the same caliber and quality as they have shown the first two games this year they should easily be able to keep up their current standard and win a series or two every decade. NSW would be considered Americans, QLD Canadians and Victoria Mexicans. Get it right 2013 was decided by a 2 point margin & 2012 by 1 point, skin of the teeth argument is invalid, this has been coming. Also take away all points scored for QLD by Inglis or Folou and you dont have a 8 year streak. Game 1 was a cracker of a game that was marred by terrible reffing in the final 10 minutes. Game two was shit by both teams 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444612-one-in-a-row/page/3/#findComment-7316170 Share on other sites

-FIGJAM-
Why would we be taking away points scored by Folau and Inglis? Both born and bred in NSW. Bunta
Oh ok. It IS a shame the the eligibility doesn't work like that. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444612-one-in-a-row/page/3/#findComment-7316249 Share on other sites
r32-25t
No they went to dream world once so that makes them Queenslanders. Like last night they talked about ingles being pound of his heritage, I laughed and said so proud he is playing for the wrong team 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444612-one-in-a-row/page/3/#findComment-7316253 Share on other sites
Sinista32
Inglis - first senior game at 16 for Newcastle Hunter in New South Wales and his first under 18s game for the Brisbane Wombats in 2004 I have no idea's about all the rules around which state a player must play for if they get to choose Also what about Fijians, Islanders and NZ ? Should they play Origin at all ? I remember seeing a funny map of Qld that seem to take in the whole south pacific including Vic and parts of NSW. His heritage is Indegenous Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444612-one-in-a-row/page/3/#findComment-7316255 Share on other sites
Bunta
Off the top of my head Peter Sterling, Ben Elias, Bradley Clyde, Timanah Tahu, Willie Mason and Peter Wallace. All not from NSW all played many origins in winning series for NSW all because of the same eligibility criteria you all want to bitch about now. PWND
But you will keep whinging about it one way, and ignoring it the other. Was a good passionate game to watch, but refs took the edge of it. So many bad calls. So much niggle. Don't usually see qld do that. Usually a nsw tactic, spearheaded by Gallen. I guess you play like them and end up losing by them. smidy
So this is the best team qld have ever produced? And nsw beat them! I like the fact qld supporters focus on the last 8 years only and never before then, never back when qld and nsw played against each other since 1908. Never back when nsw beat qld 19 years in a row in the 60's, yes it wasn't called "state of origin" but it was qld verse nsw. Got give credit for the teams back then when it was brutal and not a penalty riden whinging comp from both sides like they play on the ref these days. And also Shayne Hayne should never ref a game of league ever again! The qld supporters that give shit about nsw playin at their home ground badly and only just winning, game one was on your turf and u lost so says abit about how qld played on their home turf. At least we won!! Can't wait for game 3 to make it a white wash guna be tough but will be good to see it happen!
