Hi all,

Does anyone know if there are any performance increases from using a Davies Craig item over OEM? I'm at a point where I need to replace my clutch fan anyway and I figure I'll just spend the extra money on the OEM item if there is no/negligible difference.

In other threads I have read that the Davies Craig item is noisier, but noise doesn't really bother me (famous last words)

Thanks for your input in advance!

You will notice the Davies Craig. I never used to notice my fan then my tuner mentioned my temps were not coming down as quick as some other 33's he'd seen recently so I figured my fan clutch was probably just about gone. Bought the Davies Craig one and I may as well have bolted the fan straight to the pulley. The thing is just constantly flat out even when dead cold

Pay the extra and go OEM. I've taken my Davies Craig one back off because it was so annoying

Have a look at GKTech's sr fan. They make a sr to rb converter for it.

Going to give it a go when I get some time off

Apparently they aren't that great. Cant remember exactly what people didn't like about them but I'm sure someone has the answer

There is nothing wrong with the stock fan anyway. It shifts plenty enough air when working properlu

I have heard the same bad things, on paper it looks fantastic but I am yet to hear a good review from a RB owner.

Besides, fancy fan blades won't fix my clutch unit problem

Yep gktech fan has nothing to do with clutch. I have one on an rb25, they hold temp just fine, and seem to be less drag at hi rpm due to tapered blades, but, pretty bloody noisy, no joke. Heaps cheaper than new oem fan tho so i can live with some noise..
