Hi all,

I believe its time for another meet! Resurrected from the yesteryear archives, SAU:NSW is bringing back the Monthly Meets. A meet and greet style event where members can put names to faces, have a chat and grab a feed.

Where: Aqua Golf (Penrith Panthers)

When: Friday, 16th January, 2015

Time: 7:30pm (Venue is open till 1am).

Map: https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Aqua+Golf+at+Panthers/@-33.7589937,150.6840819,17z/data=!4m7!1m4!3m3!1s0x6b128f50d6cb560d:0x45311581b4921531!2s123+Mulgoa+Rd,+Penrith+NSW+2750!3b1!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0x97bb34f3a6f6199a

Cost for Aqua Golf: $7 per bucket of golf balls. Group Buys available at 10 buckets for $5 each or 20+ buckets for $4 each.

Info: SAU:NSW has made arrangements with Aqua Golf to for our members to meet at the venue at 7:30pm for many rounds of trying to hit a small white ball into a pond. Arrangements also include tables that are reserved for us, so those that want to bring their feed over to the golfing area may do so. Otherwise, all are welcome to dine at the League Club or anywhere else on the club grounds. You dont need to bring anything apart from yourself, your car and your wallet. Golf clubs, etc is provided by the staff there

Parking is available in abundance. We might not be able to park all our cars together, but I‘ve been assured there is enough space. This is during the school holidays so feel free to bring the kids out as well.

This is an official SAU: NSW event and will be run under a CAMS permit.

One of the things that really sets our club apart is our commitment to being true enthusiasts. When on normal roads we strive to maintain good relations with the authorities as well as the public in general.

When attending one of Skylines Australia NSW events please try to:

• Be aware of surrounding environment and act accordingly.
• Drive courteously on the state’s roads as a true enthusiast should.
• Understand how important it is to maintain the good name of SAUNSW and thus, treat others accordingly.

• Any misbehaviour will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave.

After the official meet is over, members may organise their own cruise if they wish. This will NOT be an official

SAU:NSW cruise.

Thanks,
Raj.

Is this members only?

I'm definitely keen to come! (and to become a member as well, so I'll get on to that anyway)

The event is open to all

We will have club membership forms so you can get that sorted out too :)

Any possibility of having the odd one of these on a weekend down the track? I'm barely anywhere near home at 7.30 on week nights let alone a trip elsewhere :)

Absolutely Owen. We have a different ideas for meets that we are keen on trying. You can always join us later in the evening for this meet..

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
