Hey guys,

Coming to sydney in a few weeks for a fri sat and sunday before i go overseas.

Im staying in the heart of circular quays.

What is the night life fri n sat nights like there?

Where would you recommend?

any help would be great

cheers

If you're staying in Circular Quay the closest area with a decent night life would probably be the Rocks but that is mainly pubs and restaurants. Wandering a bit further to darling harbour will get you to cargo bar/king st wharf and a bit younger crowd.

Kings Cross is a lot quieter than it used to be since the lock-out laws came in but there are still plenty of places open.

If you're staying in circular key be careful of the lockout, all pubs and clubs won't let you in the door after 1:30am in certain areas of kings cross and CBD. I'd google it and you should get the picture with the lockout zones in it. If not give me a shout and I'll try and find it.

There's an awesome German bar/restaurant called Lowenbrau in the rocks which is 2 minutes from circular quay, it's great for a big lunch feed and some quality steins.

If you're into craft beers try a place called Harts, they brew their own beer and use some other local breweries and they're amazing beers.

As far as clubs and what not I'd try places like Bar 100, again in the rocks but is more night club like

Hope some of that helps :)

hahah fair point....

For one would like a nice var, younger crowd not over in the 40s etc...

Then not so much a night club but a bar with music again young crowd preferred....

Ive been to darling harbour once before, and all i can remember of it was 50 somethings in very bar i went to

the glenmores a good place to visit on a friday if you get in later arvo, although can get crowded with the afterwork crowd.

Can also venture on to the Argyle from there afterwards. Was my old friday night special when I used to work around there

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
