this what I have said to others.

But even if it did, I would much prefer the peace of mind knowing the oil is changed.

As far as the Y34 goes, there is a km's counter menu in the navigation system used to monitoring service intervals. It can be reset with a few buttons. Have no confirmation that it would actually affect the TCU though.

That would only reset the reminder Leroy.

Yes that's what I seen. The systems menu counter, that's about it!

If its only that needs resetting, I'd be madly pissed off after paying all this much!

Auto won't simply bolt in though, not electrically.

You will need the Consult 3 unit to reset the oil contaminant counter.

my research showed that you'd need a new Transmission ECU to control the Auto which should plug in to the ECU and you're sweet. Is there more than that?

Also, bolts look to line up so that shouldn't be a problem.

I would expect different TCU and transmission connectors. So you may need a harness swap too, which may mean other items need to be changed.

The Y34 owner who transplanted a half cut I'm assuming just did a full swap of ECU, TCU, motor, gearbox. Didn't describe any major issues.

    • I'm not a big fan of the Cometic gaskets either, as above the head and deck need to be like a mirror (can't remember the RA) so Kamieri sounds like a good idea.  FWIW a mate of mine hordes old motor stuff and has some blank unground Nizmo cams for one of these in his supply if random shit if you're interested.
    • This is aem disk setting in aem tuner and still 180 dgree off or ignition on exhaust cycle is it from cas it self as cas seems wouldn’t fit in cam shaft if wrong position and wiring been verified any ideas
    • Oh yeah that would work excellent. Should be the same diff housing & everything. Shoot me a text or call me 260-750-2246 -Cody
    • Oh right, I didn't realise it was your car. Please do! Makes me feel better about mine. I also have a big scrape on the front left bumper where someone presumably used the wall to guide the car into a parking spot  But somehow all the funds go towards mechanical things and the cosmetics stay forever unfinished... Interesting, I don't think I have seen it before. But after seeing @PranK's rusty roofline on the BMW I'd probably leave it alone. Wouldn't want water to get in there.
    • Thanks mate, thought you might know the answer.
