should of bought my head, already had cams in it  ,

If I were you id slap the neo head on and add some water meth, would be very ballsy motor plus the cam has 8.5ish lift and zero hydraulic lifters to make noise later.. ;)

Yeah, I was seriously considering it man..

But I really needed the head asap as I can't bear to have my car just sitting there :(

+ Not that I don't trust you, but the head would have come from Brisbane etc.. It could have been damaged coming here and if anything happened I wouldn't be able to just send it right back if you know what I mean?

Unfortunately I have already sold the NEO Head to one of my mates for his R34 but I do regret not keeping it.. I realize now I could have kept the head and just got a thicker Head Gasket to compensate for the higher compression but at the time I did not think of that :verymad:

Oh well, That may be a task for my project motor which will be started soon

no worries im gonna use it for the RB3025 and see what it does,

nice build, front spoiler looks good!

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing for my build but I wanna take it one step further ;)

Front spoiler..?

not sure what look you going for but here's a pic of my brothers s1, I'd drop my s2 for it if he would sell it to me...

came loaded with nismo gear from Japan, :verymad: and mine had nothing, sorry pictures not the best..

That looks nice!

It may be a Nismo 400R? - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Skyline_GT-R#NISMO_400R

Also, this.. is my goal (I'm almost there) except with the addition of Wider Rear Fenders + S2 Spoiler

I was looking at GTR style ones (no badge of course) but seeing the black on white gives a similar effect while maintaining the S symbol :D

Yeah exactly! I don't know why people switch em out

I personally like em!

I want this R33 GTR Do-Luck rear bumper, that's what on my brothers car, it continues underneath the body about a foot or more... gives it more depth at the rear..

Not really an update as such

Just something someone did for me and I thought it was cool!

I will be buying ARP Head Studs next week though!

Then all I need is the Head Gasket (Probably a Permaseal Metal Head Gasket) and the Head refurbished :D

Then she's all ready to go on! :w00t:

Keep an eye out as I'll also be documenting the removal and refit of the Head via Youtube

I will post the links here for all who wish to see it

Looking heaps better now... what power you wanting to make?

Can make well over 300kw's with OEM bolts and gaskets... looking forward to the vids... :whistling:

:thanks: mate!

My power goal for this engine is 400rwhp, I really want to see those numbers on the dyno  Then I'll be happy!

Although 1/4 times are what really counts

Then I am going to leave it at 400hp and a weekender, whilst I start my engine build, RB25/34 :D

Although I am torn between using my current head (The broken one on my car, which will be switched out with the new head) or buying a NEO Head for this, I just don't know whether the slight increase in flow will be worth it with the NEO as opposed to just staying with my head. :ermm:

Update time!

I got my quote from HeadTorque yesterday and although the price seems a bit dear, I am confident this is still a fair price

They are going to:

- Service The Head

- Pressure Test It

- Sonic Clean And Bleed The Lifters

- Face It

- Supply And Fit Brand New Exhaust Studs

- Supply And Fit 24 Valve Stem Seals

- Check Valve Springs

All for the price of - $1,100

But as fate should have it, this will not be getting done till next month!

I am currently casual at my job and have my review next month as I'm waiting to go full time.

I don't want to spend big money now and then be struggling to survive later, should I not get extended :ermm:

I will however still be buying the ARP Head Studs soon, so check back for those updates!

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
