So when i initially bought my r32 it was 186kw atw with standard gear, just hi flow factory turbo and cat back 3 inch. But i was on a p plates and had to get a lousy non turbo 25 neo. But im off my p plates now and i was to make it turbo again. But i already wasted too much with the initial swap. I dont want to fork out thousands again. To get a s1 rb25det put into a r32 gtst with rb25de neo wiring, how much am i looking to spend? lets say 1.25k for the engine, 1000 for the swap and another 500 for the wiring. Does this cover it? thats still a shit ton of money that i will probably never get back. Then how much can i sell it for, 10k? I got a gtr kit on the car with everything and it also has a sunroof, gtr wheels etc. Or maybe i just dont give a damn and i should just turbo my current n/a neo engine. I dont give a damn if i blows but you reckon i can still reckon i can get a good 3 years with it before i gives way? how much am i looking to spend then?

thanks bros.

Turbo current engine. Run e85.

thats what im thinking...whats the best setup with a rb25de neo? which turbo would work best with it? standard r34 gtt turbo? also what would the life expectancy be on it you reckon? also e85 f**king stinks, it is really neccassary?

It would safer with higher compression... also think there's quite an extensive na+t thread on this forum, so read thoroughly for options and results, and of course common mistakes.

Slightly confused here

Your looking for the best/cheapest way to get you skyline back on the road with a turbo, but then you say you don't care if it blows which will cost even more in the end

i know but my car is gonna become fully sick bro

sorry am I getting all this 186 kw at the rears standard gear so im guessing rb20 with cat back and your at 186kw that's a great effort for standard everything not safe though running E85 will help get that hidden power though you must have an aftermarket ECU but the R32 never came with an RB25DE unless it was a GTS4 so it really still isn't legal for P platers by memory an RB25s1 should fit str8 in ECU wiring I think is same apart from knock sensor I think.

man cmon rb25de was standard on the later model r32s so u can do a engine swap without an engineering cert

Soz retard moment I don't know why I was thinking r31 lol.

You should be fine then np.

Didn't know this was a school exam sorry Stagea97 gotta have my spell check and nazi tools on next time.

    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
