Yeah, the Renault looks much better out in the sunlight than it did in the dark studio shots which made it look like there was too much black.
Not a fan of the shark fins, but i think all the cars look good. With Sauber's livery being the least good :P I particularly like the Williams, but it's hard to go wrong with Martini colours. The new cars are certainly much better proportioned than they have been for years.

This thread shows the popularity of F1 at the moment

Probably shows what happens when sports go to Foxtel and few people have access.  To be fair there has been some actual competition this year and atleast Ferrari are taking it up to Mercedes.  Shame everyone else is dropping off the pace.  Force it India and Torro Rosso are going well but other than that it is pretty dire.  McLaren are embarrassing.  Williams are going backwards, Renault have no race pace and RedBull cant lay a glove on MB.

Yes Ferrari have been winning races and fighting the mercs when they aren't in front, but the 'racing' is still a procession. If a car does make a pass, 99% of the time that's the end of the battle.

Compare it to MotoGP, even Fp1 is more exciting to watch than 95% of f1 races.

So that was a big stupid that dany got two penalties for the one crime and it was race controls fault from what i can see...

I usually try and watch the canadian gp as it always seems to be one of the better races but just couldnt this year

Surely not?  Nothing wrong with ramming someone then pulling alongside them to do it again.  If Hamilton wasn't there he wouldn't have hit him, so clearly the blame should be 50-50.

Mean while at Force it India things are all sweetness and light.

Is there a decent story anywhere about Ferrari supposedly burning oil as fuel?  Horner was pretty straight forward about that on the grid.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
