Hey guys, can anyone recommend a good panel beater or repairer in the south eastern suburbs. Was involved in an accident tonight... my front quarter panel, head light and rear quarter are damaged, but there may be more hidden. Not happy at all

YEP, I can DEFINITELY recommend SUPERFINISH, just near the corner of south rd and warrigal rd (also on Cochrains rd) Moorabbin.

I went there through my insurance company, and the job was even better than I hoped it would be....

I had my front right guard damaged and my bumper skin...

They resprayed both, and rather than just blending the bumper and bonnet, they re-sprayed them both....

So now my car looks better than it did before the accident...

I just got a courtesy call from them 2 days ago asking if I was happy with the job, and if there are any problems I have noticed that they can fix...

I was VERY surprised that did this considering it was through insurance...

Anyhow, I did notice a week later, that the front left guard was not blended properly with the bumper and bonnet (guy must have missed it)...

So when I told him, he said to bring it in, and they will fix it up for me...

Now this is the kind of service I like, and the kind I like to reward by taking any of my future business to these guys, and by HIGHLY recommending them to others...

Speak to Greg or Con, ad tell them George with the Pearl Red R33 sent you, as he was impressed with not only the workmanship but also the service.

I took my car to about 5 places when I was getting quotes, and half of them didn't notice it was pearl paint and quoted metallic, others didn't want to blend things in, etc. Greg was VERY attentive to detail, and picked up a few things even I didn't notice (and I'm a very fussy bastard)...

They told me it would take no more than 8 working days, and they had it back to me in 6

Anyhow, that's my experience with them, hope it helps

Zahos

My son works at Berwick Motor Body Repairers which is actually on the highway in Officer just after the freeway finishes. They fixed one of our cars and it seems ok.Worth a try since you're not far.

Thanks for the recomendations, i would have tried them but i got a really good quote today at Glen Waverly Panels, my friend is good mates with the owner and recommended him. I've bought a front guard and new headlight, and they are going to beat out the rear quarter, front bar and the corner tip of the bonet and fully respray the rear panel, side door, front guard, front bar and bonet. On top of that for a little extra they're going to touch up, detail and completely respray the other side of the car as well so the paint will match :P. They said it will take approx 12 days so i'll let you know how it goes, but so far i'm very impressed. The car wasn't too badly damaged at all but it still burnt a hole in my pocket.

    • Google tells me that's a Japanese Rat Snake... 2m long? Man I think Australia has traumatised me to think all snakes are dangerous unless they're pythons. Also... "16 years later..." is that a record on SAU @PranK?
    • Yep, I really miss mine. I dont, however, miss it's understeer. Hard to find a genuine 'Sport' model these days. That sounds awesome! Good fun and great result!  I'd love to do a 1/4 in mine now that its reasonably healthy with the tune. I last did a run in my white GTR, I think it was a 12.3 and I can't remember the mph and I think the little E90 might be quicker.
    • FWIW, I made 372kW on a Mainline dyno, with a stock motor (bar head studs & usual bolt ons) on E85 (pretty timid timing in the mid range) and it blew up after a year of track use. Probably got like 5~6 Wakefield track days and 1x skid pan somewhere in between.
    • Plus, if you want to shoot for over 300rwkW, the Z32 won't really cut it and retaining the PowerFC is getting to be a poor choice. You're going to be much happier with management that can actually see what's going on and have a hope of stopping it from going bad when something breaks (think oil pump). So, the $$ situation is probably different to what you think it is.
    • 350-400kw will not keep that basically stock motor basically stock very long, especially for track only use. It will decide to need a rebuild pretty quickly. I'd go smaller, and not cheap out with a Pulsar item based on older tech. Get a G25 550/660. Just better in every way. Don't think about changing a turbo until AFTER you change your injectors (S15 injectors x6? What CC are those?) and coils/fuel pump. They won't keep up with any aftermarket turbo.
