Im looking at buying an ER34 from auction but only issue is the Vin Plate is missing, done my research and the car checks out fine from what i can find. I've got all the codes i need but does anyone know where i could get a new one from. Only reason I'm chasing after this particular car is because for the value im expecting to get it for because of these and the car itself is quite nice.

Just need a new Blue Vin Plate.

Thanks

This is to get a compliance plate. The blue plate on the firewall is fitted by Nissan at the factory so you would need to contact Nissan. This plate is largely irrelevant for registration in Australia as it does not have the VIN number issued when the vehicle got complied

I'm pretty sure that in SA a car will not pass an identity inspection at Regency without the manufacturer's plate on it, as well as the compliance plate.  I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they had a good look at all of the plates on my car when it was ID'd.  It's going to vary from state to state.

Well that’s pretty average isn’t it. Just get a good engraving place to remake one

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
