Yeah mate, When I drove a BMW 3 series, the boot badge was stolen twice they cost close to $70 genuine. So you would surely expect a 30 year old genuine part to be "bloody expensive"

New switch quoted genuine $480,  New OEM (Bosch)$350. that's bloody expensive for an ABS switch thats unchanged in design, so will also eventually crumble from presumably heat.
