I'm going to fit some new wheels on my Skyline GT-T (9.5x18 Offset: 18). It's obvious to me that i will need more negative camber to fit them.

I looked at the Driftworks shop an found out that they offer many options. For camber adjustment I chose:

Rear camber arms with poly bushes:

And front camber arms:

Are there any major upgrades that I should install while I'm at it? As there is a 10% discount there, I am open for further investment. The more you buy, the more you save ;)

Ok I just ordered front and rear camber arms with poly bushes, front tension rods with rod ends and rear toe arms with poly bushes.

Let's see how they affect the handling. If that is not enough for me, I can always get further upgrades.

I was wondering if rear traction arms would pay off but according to internet forums they are only supposed to provide more stability for acceleration. to identify a need for an upgrade i will first need to get less wheel spin by changing tire width ;)

No. The internet forums are wrong.

If you put camber arms on the rear, you need to put the rear radius arms on too (they are NOT called traction arms!). If you do not, you will be wildly changing the bump steer curve when you change the length of the camber arm. The car will behave like shit.

Correctly setting the length of the radius arm is not trivial though. You WILL need the help of a good suspension specialist, unless you are capable of making and using a bump steer gauge of your own. I've done it. It burns about 20 hours to get it right.

He's absolutely right. Whiteline does call it the "rear radius arm" KTA117. Whiteline also specifically says that you have to install these when you install the adjustable rear upper control arm. Makes perfect sense really.

I found out the hard way on my 32 years ago. If you don't and you wind in more negative camber on the rear with the stock length, you will eventually crack your upper control arm welds.

ok, this is exactly the information I opened the thread for. Thank you guys.

If I understood you correctly Driftworks just names them wrong. But the Driftworks "Rear Traction Arms" are the same as the Whiteline "Rear Radius Arms"?

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
