Get them coated, I’ve sent mine to Xtreme fuel systems, they are getting cerakoted, I’ll post photos when I get them back

Please do! What turnaround time and ballpark cost are you looking at for getting it done? Or do you just chuck them in with all the other parts you are getting coated?

I like the idea of coating them but not having wipers at all for a while feels a bit sketchy.

Sorry, didn’t consider that, I’m used to GTR life, where wait times aren’t considered.
to get them coated wouldn’t be more then $50, but you would need someone close to you for efficiency.
My guy could do them in a couple of days if it was urgent but if your posting would be a nightmare on wait time.
and you’d be fkd if you got caught in the rain.
I know with the GTR new arms are close to $300, not sure with your car. But coating wouldn’t or should I say shouldn’t be more the $50

Soda blast and paint with rattle can in a single day.

I tried painting mine, let’s just say I’m no painter! Lol

I didn’t soda blast though, just hit it with some 400 wet/dry paper

Hah, no worries! I'm not OP, so their situation might be different. I appreciate the suggestion. Will keep the coating option in mind when some overdue other rust work is scheduled one day and the car is out anyway. My main fear is starting on something like that, getting it all fresh and nice and then noticing how all the other bits around it look a bit worse for wear in comparison. It would never end!

They look nice. Do they take them completely apart when they paint them?

I’m not sure, but everything was done, even the spring and plastic cover

    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
