I'm seeing torque specs all over the place for the OUTER tie rod, but none for the INNER tie rod, where it connects to the steering rack. Even in videos, people are just tightening em up as much as they can with a wrench and that's it.

Anything tightened down without torque makes me nervous. Anyone know what the spec is for it?

Should be close enough. Noting that 88Nm is equivalent to 2-3 ugga duggas or one Oof. You have to use Oof on tie rods because you can't get an ugga dugga on there.

Let's keep it concise please; the fellow asked for help, not nonsense terms.

Well, given that I, an engineer, almost never bring out the torque wrench to tighten up chassis bolts, despite fully knowing the theory, and instead rely on feel, which I happen to know is exactly how the majority of mechanics do things, should tell you the level of actual peril that exists from not achieving exactly 88 Nm of torque.

How about if I just say then that 88Nm is at the lower end of the correct wheel nut torque range? Everyone knows how to tighten a wheel nut, right? And almost no-one ever brings out the torque wrench for that task

I, and all the car people i know, ALWAYS use a torque wrench for wheel nuts. I assumed any car person, apart from tyre centre monkeys with rattle gun in hand, would do it properly. 

Anyway, no further reply from me on this unless legit discussion from OP or his query so, over to you, knock yerself out.

Dang I looked at this for so long until I realised it was for the inner rod. I was so confused. This looks like a great tool. Another injected plastic box for my collection.

I for one am a torquer. I'm far too anxious and neurotic to not use the correct torques whenever I can. I do honestly feel like my wheels will fall off if I dont.

It's a great tool to have, even if you only use it a few times. Cheap and does the job far better than a spanner on there.

I mean, given the number of BMWs you own their tolerance for improper torque is rather low. The number of torque + angle spec bolts and non-reusable bolts in one is nuts.
