Hey Prank,

Any chance you could easily lock all the old FS and WTB posts? Even if it's just a one off hit through there.

The majority of posts are people asking someone if they still have something for sale from 8+ years ago, when the person who originally advertised it hasn't been on the site in donkeys years.

Just a thought I had. Maybe go through and lock everything older than 12 months or something?

I've got to be honest, I don't see the harm in people asking on old posts.....I've got a lot of stuff lying around that I never update, and you never know who will remember they have something around

I'm with both M & D here. There's little harm, unless you're prone to getting annoyed by over-enthusiastic displays of wild optimism and/or stupidity**. And there is potential benefit from basking in the warm glow of schadenfreude, if you get something from that.

**The bookface generation seem to think that if they can see something on the internet, then it must have been posted just before, because there is clearly absolutely no history when everything is served up on some sort of dash, fresh for your algorithm fed delectation.

That's fair, I can see both points.

I get enthusiastic when I see the FS section has a new post and want to see what interesting thing someone is selling.

Then I get deflated it's a bump of a 10 year old post. Ha ha

There is a warning that "this thread is super old" but they ignore that anyway...

Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"

I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old :/

Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that.

My bad.

That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature!
Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not. :)

We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.

So I'm going to have to keep ignoring the 4.7 update, or whatever version it is? Poop. I was hoping you'd put me out of my misery.

Haha no I'll do that one tomorrow. I've been ignoring it. It's the 5.0 one I'm taking about. (There is a little X to hide the 4.7 one if you want)

Yeah, but it comes back every day. It's only a minor inconvenience, but as a nag to make you want to perform the upgrade, it is very effective. I can only tolerate that sort of nag on my own systems for a short while before the guilt gets me. Look at all the SSH and Sharepoint and etc hacks that are getting announced every few hours for the reason behind that.

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
