"Hybrid" is a meaningless term. I could not tell you what the vendor of that turbo means by "hybrid".

Hybrid sounds like a supercharger... It's half a turbo, with a belt to drive it!

Oh wait, they're just called super chargers...

Oh sry i do not know if i used the term right. What i meant is upgrade the internals and keep the housing.

That is not "hybrid"?

That's why I said it is a meaningless term. Because there is more than one meaning that people can apply to it.

When we said "highflow", that is exactly what we mean, and exactly what is done. In a highflow, they take your housing and machine them out to take bigger wheels, have a better internal profile, etc etc, and fit a new core with the different/better/bigger wheels.

Ok thank you...maybe the term "hybrid" is used here to describe what you said :)

And any other turbo that is "bolt on"?
Iam kinda leaning towards this new HKS:

It is bit expensive but it should be enough for my power now and in the future 🙂

What happened to looking for a cheaper bolt on turbo?

I don't think you'll find anyone here (that isn't American) that will recommend this turbo... its absolutely crazy money for what you get.

I think it's terrible value, it should be half that price IMO. And I'm known as someone who will unironically suggest the GTIII-SS on the RB26 if you have very specific requirements. The GCG RB25DET "hybrid turbo" is 1/3rd the cost of this GTIII-RS kit and sounds like it should fit with zero modifications. Talk to Hypergear as well, maybe they can do something that fits your requirements.
